Made an appointment online and arrived on time for my appointment. The office staff was friendly however, upon asking for my insurance information the office worker informed me I had a $100 copay. I explained to her that I did not because I had met my deductible and out of pocket maximum for the year. She called on someone internally to gather information and told me the same thing that I had a $100 copay that I owed or I would not be able to be seen. I again tried to inform her of the fact that I should not owe anything but she responded with “well if we make a mistake then we’ll give you a refund”. Sure enough an hour after my appointment after I had to call the insurance company myself , I had to call back and explain that I’m now owed a refund. This was frustrating as I have two jobs and I don’t have $100 to throw around because someone was ill informed on how to do their job thoroughly.

Left knee has been bothering me and I was sitting at the desk in pain and going home wasn’t an option. So I checked myself in and Shakyiah and the provider Layla took very good care of me. I was able to get treated and remain at work without any pain.  Wonderful place to work for and the staff is amazing here. I would definitely recommend AFC Urgent Care to anyone .
