Had flu and Covid like symptoms, and my spouse recommended the online booking feature so I used it and it was pretty easy. I arrived at my appointment time and I was seen within 15 minutes. The nurse that I first saw wasn’t very warm of a personality, but she took down my concerns. Then, the PA came in, and as I was describing my condition, she had to leave the room to answer a phone call from her boss. It seemed so weird and unprofessional, but then she came back and was very apologetic, and continued to listen to me explain all of my symptoms. She seemed to care to get me better, but I wasn’t convinced that she had much experience. After in-office x-rays and suspicion of pneumonia, I left the office and headed to my pharmacy to pick up my prescriptions.  When using the facilities, the restroom was out of soap, and the garbage in the room was overflowing. I might go back out of convenience of having an appointment is easy to make online, but probably not my first choice.

This was a horrible experience. Front desk staff was friendly, and the nurse that checked my vitals was friendly as well. The PA-C that took care of me needs work on bedside manner, arrogance and taking care of patients in general. He sped through the exam like he just wanted me out of the door as fast as possible, and he barely listened to my concerns and explanation of my symptoms. He acted like he didn’t believe I had a sinus infection. He also spoke to me like I didn’t know what I was talking about. Honestly it felt like he didn’t know what he was talking about. He even had the nerve to tell me to wait before filling an antibiotic even though I’ve been suffering for days and it’s only gotten worse over time. I’m also prone to sinus and ear infections, so I’m well aware of how they work and what medication works for me. I told him I typically get a Z Pac and it works well for me with these infections, and he refused to fill it and prescribed something different that just made me sick. I’m having to go somewhere else where they’ll actually listen to me and get the proper care I need. I had a great experience the last time I needed care, but after this experience, I’ll never go back. Patients should never feel like their provider thinks they’re dumb  or like another body that needs to get out the door. When hiring physicians, it’s important make sure they actually care about their patients and the work they do.

I still don't have the results of my 24-48 hour cultures from Saturday morning 8 a.m. appt. I made an appt at 8 a.m. but the outside door did not open until exactly 8 a.m. At 8:10 another customer walked in and was taken back before me. Between 8-8:10 I could hear the entire loud conversation of the staff in the back, and it wasn't "work related" I wasn't seen by a practitioner until nearly 8:20. I personally have worked as a direct care provider in healthcare for 39 years. This was my first visit to an AFC. My first impression was not that of timeliness and professionalism. The facility was clean but blah. Once treated the staff was friendly. I will let you know if I would return after I see the charges. First impressions can last a long time. My experience OK, but could have been much better.

The nurse was great the NP was not. I came in with uti symptoms and did leave a urine sample. She can in and told me it was negative but never did an examination I asked if it could be a bacterial infection but she never examined or did a culture. I work in the medical field and thought it was inappropriate the way she was and it was a complete waste of my time. I did call the next day and requested a culture taken the PA I saw that day was AMAZING and super understanding and helpful. I’m hoping to get a refund on my first visit as it wasn’t helpful at all
