Coughing up cold sore throat nose bleeding doctor said keep taking DayQuil so unprofessional waste of time never going back

So sick I didn’t feel like sitting up. Called and told wouldn’t be a long wait. When I got there maybe 6 people waiting. I was in there 3 hours. Never again!

I think the Dr or NP that you are seeing should listen to your needs more on why you are there. You are an urgent care and you don’t know your patients on a regular basis. So when a need or concern is put out there and the entire reason you came in today it should be acknowledged.  I know my child and her needs and how her body functions. And when I say she needs a steroid and antibiotic shot, that is what she needs. I don’t need you to make me feel like I am stupid. I will advocate for what my child needs regardless or what you say. It’s been a day and half and she is feeling better because I pushed back when I was told it just needs to run its course. No, there is no reason for her to continue to be sick.

The staff at American Care in Gardendale is always positive. They take the time to show genuine kindness in stressful situations. I would highly recommend American Family Care in Gardendale,Al.

Went in to get my meds renewed. Wait was quick was in and out on about. 1hr

Walked in, no appt. Fast service, friendly.  Gave me good advice for my situation.

Brought my son in for a bad cough. They did a horrible job getting his vitals. His weight was 155 but for some reason she put put 185. Couldn't get a oxygen reading on his finger with their equipment, which seems really important for a lung issue. When the dr comes in, she informs us that they have no chest culture lab stuff because they ran out. She seemed nervous around my son. Didnt even bother to use a tounge suppressor when she looked in his mouth so I know she didnt see anything because he had his tounge pushed back.. offered an xray to rule out pneumonia but said she would give us antibiotics regardless so I didnt see the point in an xray.. I'm sure they billed our insurance a pretty penny for this appointment. Then gave us a note he was good to go back to school next day.. of course he wasn't and has been home this week thanks to the school nurse that excused him

When we walked into the facility we (a young couple) were the only people asked to check in on our phones while there was no line or wait other people were checked in at the desk that walked in after us. If I’m not feeling well I don’t really see why the desk can’t check me in, regardless if I can work the internet im sick and hurting and they were just chatting.  The “nurse practitioner” was the only person we were introduced to as far as I know we never saw a Dr and she was in a rush, did not listen to our chest well, she did not ask me to take a deep breath, or take my coat off and she listened to my boyfriends through a puffer coat and told us we were clear. I had an x-ray and was only asked if there was a chance I could be pregnant, though I said no, a test was never ran.  There was a lovely nurse who took us from the waiting room did our weight measurements and initial vitals and she was awesome, by far the best staff member we experienced.

Couldn’t get answers sent me to the E. R. instead and never refunded my copay

The entire staff is great. The wait time was very minimal
