Everyone was extremely nice and helpful.  The receptionist was helpful in getting checked in.  Megan did a great job in providing medical care to me.  Daniel was also great in providing his diagnosis and prescribing the required medications.  Overall a great experience.

Scheduling was fine. The worst part is that I was told that reception has forgotten to file my insurance from the Covid test I had in 2021. So I'm standing, ankle broken/sprained, and they ask for an additional $200 in advance of treatment. I have had the same easily accessible Aetna insurance for 5 years. The receptionist did not show an ounce of care when I explained this. I asked if anyone did their due diligence. Crickets. It goes against the entire spirit of care and I am extremely unhappy. I am a Healthcare provider so seeing this from that side, just made it all the more clear more people need to speak up about this type of thing with the emergence of walk in clinics on every corner.

I took my son to urgent care for a bad cough. Staff including front desk, assistant and doctor we're all great! The doctor was very thorough and was not trying to rush us out. I will definitely be back here.

Our first appt on Tuesday was awful as we scheduled an appt on line (which I know is not a “real schedule”) but still. Then found out there was no availability for an x-ray. Dr. Spanos was awesome, and called in meds and documented well for follow-up on Friday. Fridays appt was great! Waited about 10min with great x-ray tech and follow-up. Thank you.

This was my second visit in 3 days as at the first visit I was told to wait a couple more days before having some sutures removed from my lip. I paid $175 cash Saturday to be told this. When I returned to have the sutures removed, I was told it would be yet another $175, even though no services were rendered the first time around. After pointing this out, I was then told it would only be $75. Since I was on day 7 of facial sutures, I had no choice but to accept as they needed to come out. The NP that I saw was quite the opposite of the rest of the staff I was in contact with. He was knowledgeable and quite efficient at removing the sutures, 2 of which were quite difficult to get to. The intake nurse was friendly, although had no problem bad mouthing tri-star for "sending their stuff to us". The rest of the intake was pretty standard. When I was moved to the trauma bay to wait on the NP, a group of nurses were having a hallway conversation knowing, I can only assume, full well that a patient who is on the other side of the curtain can hear every word they're saying. The initial discussion was innocent enough: where my intake nurse (based off voice) would be going to residency. After specifying Vanderbilt as her facility of choice, she was asked if she'd work in the ER. She proceeded to make disparaging remarks about the Vandy ER, saying she wouldn't even take her "dog to that ER...but they're better than Tri-Star standalone. That's where that one with the sutures came from, and they're not all that bad, but still, I would never." Having an opinion on the local providers is fine, and by all means, she would have the knowledge to formulate these opinions on a much more foundational scale. However, openly and explicitly bad mouthing every local ER, facility, system and their capabilities/performance in front of patients is incredibly poor. This kind of behavior creates a foundational distrust of any hospital and, had a patient who didn't work in the medical field heard that, it can influence their action when critical care is needed. From other reviews I've read, this has been and continues to be a problem at this location. Based on the nursing staff, I will not be returning to AFC as the nursing staff has proven themselves to be incapable of providing care without opinion and has wholly proven that, at least as far as the nursing staff is concerned, any work at AFC is done only for a paycheck. All of the NP's that I've seen have been great, but the nursing staff routinely is well under the bar.
