The Physician Assistant that I saw today was very thorough and knowledgeable. He explained every detail of my care within a reasonable period of time. Was given pointers to remember for upcoming lab work in the future. Was given paperwork explaining my entire visit. Thanks! :)

It was expected that the day after Christmas would be busy. My son and I were there for about 2 1/2 hours. Staff was very friendly and helpful as could be. We were prescribed very much needed medications but I may have needed an antibiotic. The  three things I would say that needed to be done better was: throat swab was not swabbed thoroughly and I worry test results may have not been correct. Assistant/nurse only went back to back barely and did not swab sides where bacteria likes to stay. My son’s strep was positive and mine was negative. I believe I should have been treated with an antibiotic as well and was not because perhaps altered/incorrect test results. I have had a head ache and sore throat for a couple weeks.  I was a medical assistant for 7 years and was highly trained by the physicians how to get a good throat swab. You have to rub a few times all around the back of the throat and on sides. This assistant/nurse did not yesterday. I even offered to get a better swab knowing she didn’t do it correctly. She needs to be trained how to do this better for the sake of the patients. The other improvement needed is the exam room floors need to be cleaned better. They looked disgusting. The rest of the clinic was beautiful! The one prescribing was really rushed and did not let me talk and explain everything I needed… but I understand they are really busy and she did an excellent job of prescribing helpful medication except for perhaps an antibiotic for me. I haven't seen lidocaine vicious prescribed in years and I love that this was prescribed for our awful sore throats. I am thankful for the prescribed antiviral as well. So many viruses going around and I cannot keep up with staying well. We tested positive for Covid. (Nose swab done well) I appreciate prescriptions… I just think I also needed an antibiotic and may need to go back for untreated strep which can be dangerous. Everyone in my house probably has it. We share sinks… kitchen and what not.  Thank you for being open and doing your best.  Only wanted to mention what I thought should be better. Otherwise I am pleased and would recommend others to go there!!  Happy Holidays!

I had been sick since Friday 11/29. Early 11/30, I awoke & logged into the site to make an appt. Dr. Merkle & AJ were patient, took the time to explain things to me, and it was just an overall nice experience; chair side manner for both was a grand slam!!
