I was admitted to the hospital today for failed outpatient care at AFC.

Waited 90 min before being called back from the waiting room. I booked an appointment in advance, filled out my paperwork online, and checked in on-time.

i have never in my life waited longer , 2 hours, with one doctor for about 10 waiting rooms full of people, with a nurse? or tech? taking about 10 minutes for me to stand there in pain and discomfort from a viral cold that left me with a deep cough, phlegm in my lungs , stopped up head making me feel dizzy, weak from the infection, exam bed where i had to lie down waiting endlessly HARD AS A ROCK AND A RAZOR THIN "PILLOW" (?!) to rest my weary head for inordinate amounts of time ... only to be prescribed prescription strength naproxen, an NSAID, when my records clearly indicate a long history of ulcers, so that i can take limited doses of OTC naproxen or ibuprofen, for limited number of days, to relieve. inflamed airways and muscles and this negligent "doctor" who barely stuck his head in for about 1-2 minutes at a time , over 2 hours' time... then prescribes "ninjacough" a prescrition, expensive multisymptom cough. and cold syrup.  So before going to the trouble of another stop, i called the pharmacist and explained that I had already spent a wad on quite a few cough and cold OTC medicines, including cough syrup amd drops, mucus relief, antihistamine Sudafed, Tylenol, and zinc for my immune system... and posed the obvious question, do I need to bother coming to get this cough formulatiom and spend more money when i already have the equivalents of the all the ingredients already anyway?!! And she replied, "Don't bother, waste of time andmoney.. go home and rest and keep up what you have already been doing.  AFC wil NEVER get my business or one iota of my time or money through my insurance and prob a ridiculos copay.  Doctor and staff def less at fault than your ridiculous excuse for management of an urgent care facilities.  There are other urgent care facilities in the area and next time I will vote with my feet amd take my time, trouble, and money elsewhere, where i can get better. more efficient, competent, humane and personalized care.  Cyonara forever, AFC!  Go deliver your substandard overpriced "care " to some other desperate fool.

Great provider and staff at AFC Vestavia. Everyone was friendly and treatment of my son was quick.  Overall, it was a great experience.

Booked a reservation online but it doesn’t move up your spot in line ahead of those that walk in. I waited 30 min past my reservation time with walk ins going ahead of me. It’s a waste of time to make a reservation.

Wow! They took great care of me! So friendly and comforting!

Waiting room and exam room were both well cleaned and organized. Did not have to sit in waiting room long but was in exam room longer than preferred. Joy and Caroline were very friendly and helpful!

Professional to quality care and very courteous. Will return.

The nurse practitioner was not very helpful and took entirely too long. I wasted my money and time. And I still don’t feel well.

I was in and out in 3 hours. You’re better off going to Saint Vincent urgent care’s. Never again! On top of everything, they make you leave a credit card before even you get to see the doctor. Horrible experience- avoid at all costs
