What patients are saying...

Was told to arrive ten minutes early. Appointment was for 10:40 a.m. I arrived at 10:30 a.m. was told to fill out information in my vehicle for Covid testing. I didn’t leave until 1:00 p.m. I understand if you are understaffed. Or too many patients. But you could have said there was a long wait. I called back after 45 minutes of waiting to make sure I didn’t miss their phone call. The nurse was very rude. The dr was nice but was very fast paced in and out which is good I suppose. But as a whole it was terrible. They could let people know it’ll be an hour or so. I didn’t bring water or food. Had I known it was going to be a ridiculous wait time I would have went to the store across the street to grab a water. No excuse for not being up front and letting people know about horrendous wait times.

Because of COVID I understand things are different now. We sit in our cars waiting and such. But I feel like they kept me waiting until everyone else was gone. Yes possible virus. But that doesn't mean I should be last patient. I arrived between 4:30pm and 5:00pm. They finally called me told me to go all the way around to back of building and come in back door. Ok fine wish they would have said that to start with. I am disabled and struggling with a torn acl right now. I could have pulled car around to side of building and been a lot closer. Also safer since it was close to 8:00pm coming out . The doctor came examined me told me she was calling in a V-Pak I believe is what she said ( the steroids) and antibiotics. Okay good, so as I am leaving they hand me paper with instructions ok good. So when I get home I look at papers no V-PAK. I had antibiotics and something for cough. I figure she must of decided against V-PAK. Well my insurance wouldn't cover cough medicine, so I called them back asked them to call something else in. They did, so I called pharmacy to see why it had not been filled. Was told that they did call in a new script. They called in same medication just lower dose. Guess what my insurance still doesn't cover it. So I call back to ask them for something else. I was told by receptionist to call my insurance see what they would cover and call them back. Really is that my job? Shouldn't they already have a list of medications that insurance companies cover? If not I know for a fact they do not have to stay on hold with insurance companies as long as we do. I'm sick,I don't feel good. I thought they were there to help. I don't want to be sitting on the phone on hold when I am either coughing my head off or falling asleep. Oh well the good news is I tested negative for the virus. Bad news they told me I still have to stay in quarantine until I have been symptom free for 76 hours. Why?

Brung my wife in on May 24 2020 and it was not a pleasant experience. The nurse who did the Triage was very rude and seemed like she had an attitude. She called to get info before Triage and was rude on the phone and it continued when she went inside. I worked in the health care industry and patients already are not in the best mood because there not feeling well. So the nurse or tech did not make things any better. Would not recommend going there because the friendly staff was not present. The nurse or Tech is a Red Head. She was horrible.

Terrible experience, we will never ever go back to this place. The doctor my husband saw at Care One on 11/7/19, sent him to the ER in Oak Hill - while he just came for a diarrhea (!). We tried to explain her it was most probably due to a bug caught from food (we identified the place and day) and asked for antibiotics first, promising that if he wasn't improving in 48h we would go straight to the hospital. She didn't want to listen and with all authority possible, told us it can be a diverticulitis - mostly because he is over 50 (!) but nobody wanted to see that he doesn't really have the profile (food intake, weight, sport and so on...) and hear what we were saying. Because we ended up worried with her possible diagnosis we finally went to the hospital. After 3h in Oak Hill, a CT scan, a blood test, my husband left with an antibiotic prescription. Food bug. Total cost : 5,500$ Be careful going there, don't let them act as dispatcher for the ER, ask for a second opinion.

It seems that they go through the motions of examining you, but don't really do so. I felt like if I was being given an appointment just to pay visit cost. I had an appointment to take blood work the nurse practitioner went through the motions of examining me but didn't really examine me. I asked a question she said she'll be right back instead and office staff came in and was told to come back tomorrow for the blood work which to me seems why if my appointment was for blood work office was empty of no patience so they had time to do so but didn't another $75 for a visit plus blood work.
