My daughter was seen at this ER on 12/26/23. She is a type 1 diabetic. She went there with an extreme infection in her chest area. They told her to let it heal on its on and said if i had a hole like that i would hurt too , joking. They did nothing for her. We left there , she stayed in bed screaming in pain, I finally took her to an urgent care. They packed the wound, gave a antibiotic shot and a pain shot. I took her back there 3 more times for packing and pain meds. She then went to wound care. Needless to say if i had taken the ER advice to let it heal on its own, she would have died. NO one in my family will ever go to this ER again.

Staff was very rude and not attentive. The beside manner of the doctor was horrible just stood in the doorway and when asked for labs he only said it would cost too much. No paper towels or toilet paper in bathrooms. Upon arrival they even tried to act like they didn’t do any kind of imaging there.

I have been here numerous times and each time I was able to walk straight in and they immediately started taking care of me. The staff was very friendly and prompt with everything they were doing.

The intake department is pathetic. The woman who answered the phone was rude and uncaring. That is your first impression of any business. Get it together, Brookwood!

Been here over two hours. Nothing. Never will I come back

On December 30, 2020, around 12:45am, I called Brookwood Baptist Medical Center 119 Freestanding Emergency Department with a few questions. The female receptionist that answered the telephone was short with me and very rude. The phone call lasted only 49 seconds, so I really hadn’t taken up much of her time. What really prompted me to write this review was when I was wrapping up the call I started to ask one more question and the female receptionist hung up on me. Needless to say, I didn’t call back. I am very disappointed in the customer service I received. I hope that attention will be brought to this incident to prevent it from happening again. Right now, in these trying times with COVID-19, we all need to be respectful to one another and healthcare is no exception.
