This is the worst clinic I have ever been to. From the front desk to the PAs to the MDs that change out constantly, they do not care about you. Avoid CareNow at ALL costs. They can anticipate my pursuit of medical malpractice due to their lack of professionalism and care. Please take this warning seriously, as your health could be at risk from the abhorrent lack of qualification and care from the providers here. Upon walking in the door, I was charged $190 out of pocket WITH my good insurance. Multiple other clinics in Austin (Carbon, Ascension, or Austin Regional) do not incur this charge. There's a very strong chance you will see a physician assistant instead of a doctor. Melissa Migl misdiagnosed me, and I've been through hell ever since. I certainly do not place blame on her entirely because I understand clinicians work with the information they have to make educated guesses. Melissa tried to discourage me from sending a bacterial culture to the lab, but I insisted. Dr Edward Miwa calls me almost a week later to report the lab's findings. Good thing I insisted on the culture because the illness WAS bacterial. Miwa was so quick with me and unwilling to answer questions. He also was totally unaware of the increasing resistance to macrolides for certain bacteria. He made 0 effort to make me feel cared for or comfortable by his inability to speak clearly or patiently. Like I said, no one there cares about you. The manager Dixie Pittigrew also does not care about the clinic(s) she is supposed to be overseeing. Though she is aware of the grave need to improve the medical care patients are provided here, she is entirely unmotivated to do so and does not encourage feedback. I'm sure I can anticipate a copied-and-pasted auto response here claiming they are sorry for my experience, but I am only writing this for YOU, the reader, who may be in need of medical care and considering this clinic. I strongly advise that you look elsewhere.

This is a great place to go if you are looking to be treated poorly (VERY UNPROFESSIONAL) by an outfit completely dedicated to taking your money, regardless of what is said or done. AVOID at all costs — they literally scammed me for a $45 co-pay about a year ago. I went for a rapid Covid-19 test … they billed for a Dr. visit, even though they hid this ridiculous information from me prior to the visit. Scam artists. AVOID !!!
