My elderly mom needed care and we went to the hospital ER where we were waiting for over 3 hours and no doctor in sight. We finally left and came to Carewell in Tewksbury and though there was a sign on the door stating: “no walk-ins, appointments only“, I went in and asked the young woman at the desk if they could see my mother. She came and took a look at mom and said the doctor would see her because she definitely needed to be examined for a bad cut, and they couldn’t turn someone away who needed help. She led us to an exam room used for non-Covid patients so we wouldn’t have to sit by possible Covid cases in the waiting room, which was very thoughtful, unlike the ER where we were sitting for an hour in the unadvertised Covid section before a P/A suggested we move to a different area! The Dr. at Carewell saw mom about 20 minutes later at 8:00 pm (which was their closing time), and after they finished with the patients who had been waiting, he stitched up mom‘s cut. We left at 8:00 pm and thanked them for staying later and helping us. They couldn’t have been nicer and I was so glad we decided to leave the ER and go to Carewell. We will definitely return in the future when we need medical care!

Very unprofessional staff. Went for a rapid coVid test due to potential exposure which was not confirmed. Tech took sample. Waited for an hour and half. Then was told had to be seen by the NP because of exposure. Which was not what I went there for. Asked what results were and was told 24 to 48 hours will get results. I left. Got tested elsewhere which was negative. But never got results from Carewell 4 days and waiting.

A family member tested positive for Covid 19. I called here to see if they could take the rest of us to get tested just to make sure. They said for sure come on down. I waited over 30 min outside in the cold before some little rude girl comes and says they are only seeing people with appointments. If you look at their website, it says walk in only, no appointments. I dragged my handicapped mom there because they said they can help. They are liars and the girl couldn’t care less. If they had just told me on the phone they were too busy, not to come Today, I’d have been fine. Girl could care less, acted like I was lying and shooed me away. Real professional. This place sucks beyond sucks. Hopefully if anyone actually has Covid and was turned away, I hope they don’t spread it. It’s on their hands
