Was able to book a scheduled time the morning of, for the afternoon. I arrive on time at 4:00pm, I was not seen until closer to 5:00pm. My symptoms were mild, and the DR asked if I wanted to be treated presumptively. I said I could wait. However the next day, my symptoms worsened. I called back to see if I could still get treated. The reception said she would call back to let me know what the DR says. I didnt receive a call, so I called again 2 days later. She told me I would have to wait for the results. I appreciate the location of this facility but will probably opt for a different location next time.

I went to Cedar Hill urgent care with the primary complaint of coughing and postnasal drip for about two weeks. I had been there two weeks prior with similar symptoms. The first practitioner did not appear to be that interested in what I was saying and seemed to be distracted by her telephone. When I came back today, I thought that they would have looked in the record to see that I had been there two weeks ago. It was pretty obvious that they never looked at the previous record. The practitioner was annoyed with me because she wrote a prescription for an antibiotic that I had previously taken that did not seem to help me, and I asked for a different antibiotic. And I think that annoyed her as she told me Essentially what is recommended. However, I know that not everything that is recommended is always effective and I was reluctant to try that antibiotic that had not worked before. She told me that I did not tell her that I had had a previous course of antibiotics even though it was about a month before in a different facility. I would have thought she would’ve seen that information in my record from my visit at Cedar Hill two weeks prior. The practitioner did change the prescription although I must admit that I do not have any real confidence in either practitioner that I saw at Cedar Hill and will probably not visit them again. I chose them because I live in the area and rather than going to patient first or some other urgent care. I thought I would go to Cedar Hill since I thought they were affiliated with GW. I get all of my regular care at GW however I was shocked when they told me that they were not affiliated with Gw and  could not access my records since all of my medical history would have been in the medical record at GW. I even offered it with the first practitioner to pull up my medical record, but she didn’t seem interested in that. Thank you for the opportunity to vent but more than likely will not return to Cedar Hill.

I was a walk in patient. I was able to check in on my phone with no problem. They were not super busy but also didn't have me waiting a long time. Everyone was nice and respectful. I was handled with care during the examination. I had a positive experience.

Would definitely recommend if your symptoms aren’t too severe. Provider and  staff and the X-ray technician were all great, in and out in a few hours.
