Your Bellmore location on Long Island. 2459 Merrick Rd, Bellmore, NY 11710 Please see what my wife and 8 year old son experienced below: Absolutely heartbroken over the terrible, dangerous and unprofessional treatment received by my wife and 8 year old son today. The assistant manger Dawn Lombardo is not only unqualified to supervise an urgent care she should never be allowed next to children or patients what so ever. My wife brought our 8 year old son for a visit. Dawn accused my wife of not being the parent to our son and had a fight about this in front of our 8 year old boy. He spent the entire time crying that the doctors will take his mom away. A boy who wanted to be a doctor is now telling us he is deathly afraid of nurses and doctors. He is refusing to eat or go to sleep and has been crying for several hours nonstop. He is clinging to his mother and refusing to let go. During this ordeal my wife called me and I immediately reached out to Dawn Lombardo by phone, at the City MD number. Dawn tried to blame the situation on a “tech” who according to her told her that my wife isn’t my sons mother. This absolutely makes zero sense and sounded like a ridiculous excuse. Even if her blaming things on the imaginary “tech” made any sense; Dawn had no explanation as to why she decided to have this highly escalated argument in front of a terrified 8 year old child vs speaking to my wife in private over her perceived issue or calling me as the second parent immediately. All of this with my 8 year old boy crying and screaming not to take his mommy away from him. During this ordeal I spoke to Dawn three time in my last conversation I asked her “human to human” to please apologize to my son and tell him that it was just a misunderstanding and she or the doctors will not be taking his mommy away. Dawn stated that she understood and will do so immediately. When my child arrived back home shaking, terrified and in tears he told me that Dawn did not in fact come back into the room at all. I hold this individual responsible for the trauma my child and my wife have suffered. It is terrifying to me that my son who wanted to be a doctor, now is refusing food, is terrified to go to sleep and isn’t letting go of his mothers hands for the last several hours. I called one more time post my son and wife coming back home. The receptionist informed me that Dawn will return my call immediately. The facility is now closed and no call back. I have never in my life experienced such a level of unprofessionalism and intentional harm being done to a child’s psyche. We will be taking this matter further and seeking rectifying action for the horror inflicted by Dawn Lombardo as a representative and assistant manager of City MD located in Bellmore. Excellent!!! The CitiMD had closed their wait line for the day, so I called Bellmore, who said to come right down. My husband had an allergic reaction and had a swollen tongue. They gave him a shot of steroids and told him to wait in the waiting area, then checked up on him about 20-25 minutes later and sure enough, the swelling had begun to go down. Thank you to PA Wong!!
