When I visited CityMed Edgewater NJ, I had the worst treatment ever. The doctor needed to attend to an underarm abscess. Whatever numbing shot I was given hadn’t taken effect, yet the doctor proceeded. I was screaming and crying from the pain. The doctor continued with the procedure. When she finished, she said that I should return in 2 days to see “if I got all the pus out”. A culture was taken but was not sent out until 2 days later and only because I went for a follow-up visit. A total waste of time. The result of my visits were having to see another doctor, who was able to clean out the pockets of pus that were not drained at CityMed and finally getting some relief from the pain and anxiety from which I suffered. A totally inexcusably bad experience.

This place sucks. Check in is slow and random. People that come after you will be seen before you. The doctor (not really sure he was a doctor) does not listen, and does not rely on patient input. My wife and I went to this facility separately, 2 days apart. Both of us had intense coughing. Neither of us had our throats looked at. My wife got prescribed over the counter Mucinex, even though she told the doctor(?) that this med was not effective for her. I had a wet cough, and he prescribed a pill for a dry cough. I got a covid antibody test. The results were sent to me, and as I did not understand them, I called. I was on hold for more than 10 minutes, then transferred twice to other people who could not explain my results to me, as "none of them were medical professionals" as they told me. After 30 minutes, I was transferred again to another person who was also NOT a medical professional, who could also NOT explain my results. It was suggested that I come into their facility again to meet with a doctor(?). The director of the clinic objected to my tone of voice when I arrived in person. If you would like to test your ability to deal with incompetence and frustration, this is the place.
