Had a negative experience with the RT in ER. She was rude and tried to tell me I couldn't get Albuterol nebulizer at home till after testing.Well, duh! Is this maybe the reason I'm in the ER? I don't and can't have a nebulizer til this episode over. So what are my options here? Die, I guess, of acute respiratory failure. Much cheaper to do that at home My primary said have to wait til after asthma attack is under control before testing can be done. Hence the reason I'm in ER as present meds have done nothing for me over the last 24 hours. Can't get a nebulizer until asthma under control which is when I need it the most, right? When I'm having no symptoms. Works for me! The RT was pitching her best lecture. I'd had enough and left. I'm not there for a lecture from an idiot RT. I'm there for severe respiratory attack. I'm here for a nebulizer treatment. If it's gonna come with a lecture, about shit I already am well aware of (I'm not stupid, after all. I was a nurse for for 33 years), I have no desire nor breath left to have a totally useless confrontation. Should I ever come back with respiratory issues will call first to make sure the dyke RT is not on first. That is if I survive this attack.Tell her she can save her lectures for all her lesbian friends and leave the rest of us patients the hell alone.
