I went in approximately 1.5 weeks ago for a severe sore throat, ear pain, and a persistant cough. the receptionist was rude.. lost my paperwork, so i had to re complete the paperwork. it took her nearly 30 minutes just to enter it into the system .. she requested my co payment before i was even seen ... after that i waited another 30 minutes to be called into the nurse, she did the usual , my vitals, a rapid strep test in which i was told was negative .. i was then brought to the exam room and waited another minutes for the pa to come in well that was a joke .. he let me know that the strep test was negative even though he stated that my throat was severlely red and swollen . no covid test was offered nor given which i was never exposed to covid , he then told me it could be viral infection in which nothing could be done .. but here is the kicker .. he gave me an rx for the uncontrollable and persistant cough .. and was told if that didnot work with in days to go to my pcp .. i went to the pharmacy to get the rx which was not covered by my insurance and the oop cost would be almost $200. which i was not able to afford . so i was not able to get the rx filled. and so here i am almost 2.5 weeks later and still not better , i am actually worse now than i when i went to urgent care.. now i have to call my pcp and spend another copayment to be seen ... i also had the same experience with other em urgent care locations by now they should have all my insurance and other insurance on file but they always insist on you completing the forms all over again which to me is a complete waste of time the reception staff never , not even once greet you properly , but instead they always ask : who is being seen today, with a horrible horrible attitude. like they are doing us the patients a favor .. i will not be returning to them again any time soon
