I took my elderly mother to get a hearing aid and they were unable to perform test on her due to earwax. The audiologist recommended going to an urgent care for ear wash. I scheduled an appt which was easy to do. We arrived for appt the P.A. Checked her ears and said there wasn’t really much wax but they could do an ear wash in both ears. I’ve had this procedure done before and I know they usually place a few drops of peroxide in ear canal and let it sit for a few minutes to soften the wax and help it to break up with the wash. This was not done. The MA came in and started spraying the wash in my mom’s right ear- she was not getting any wax out. The M.A. stated,” I’m going to ask if we can put some drops in to soften the wax, that’s what we usually do.” She did not try to clean the left ear at all. The P.A. returned to the room and said,” Sometimes we place some peroxide in there to help soften the wax. She can do this at home in the shower.”  I asked if we could please do it there and pointed out that they hadn’t even attempted the left ear. He repeated that she could do this at home in the shower and come back Monday if we wanted and they’d check the ears again. This is my complaint and concern. I don’t want my 84yr old mother doing this at home and possibly suffering from vertigo and falling. Plus I could have performed this procedure at home to start with but I wanted a provider to check her ears with an otoscope after the cleaning  to make sure they were good prior to scheduling another appt with an audiologist.

The timing of getting in was wonderful since I was in pain. They treated me so thoroughly, I truly was impressed. And so kind and nice. They were able to do X-rays on a knee that I came in with and found most of the problem and now are sending me to an orthopedic Dr. So in all I’m very pleased with my visit, Thankyou So Much!

Dr Erica was dismissive to me and came off as if she already knows what is obviously unknown. Apparently allergies are contagious? She keeps saying I have allergies, however my family caught whatever this is from me, she quickly dismissed it as allergies when i asked her why that could be. That’s how I knew I was wasting my time and breath here. From what i experienced, Dr Kubier will try to treat you with his best attempts such as antibiotics even if the cause of symptoms is unclear, trying to treat is better than shining a patient on to the next I would assume. Dr Kubier will listen to you, your symptoms, and treat you like a fellow human being with care. At least attempting what he can to alleviate symptoms. My favorite doctor i have been to by far, you can see in his eyes and how he talks to you, he truthfully cares. Dr Erica just isn’t my type of person I guess, not everybody will get along. Be more like Dr Kubier and the amazing nurses on staff, have some patience with the patients. I’ve been struggling with this for 5 weeks and it’s a slap in the face to be told its allergies again when your colleague treated it as a bacterial infection and it responded, but then came back. So which one is it? This genuinely is my feedback to help her in her field, it may come off rude or pointed but I truly don’t mean it in that way, I’m not upset with you. I just sincerely felt like you didn’t give a crap about me. Maybe you had a bad day, I give you the benefit of the doubt. The care aspect in healthcare is pretty important to a doctor’s success I would assume. Best wishes, stay blessed.
