What patients are saying...

To whom this may concern,   I am contacting you today regarding my most recent appointment, dated March 8th 2023. While this is in fact my favorite clinic to attend, I must say that my recent experience here was rather odious and impertinent. To give you a more detailed account of this experience, I’ll begin from the point of my arrival, when I was greeted by a very nice and professional Hispanic lady who assisted me with the scheduling of my 1500 appointment. During the check-in process, I informed staff member C or M that I had two insurances for reference purposes, and in addition to that information, I informed the staff member that Blue Cross was my primary insurance and Tricare Prime is my secondary insurance. While I can’t give a descriptive account of the staff member’s physical demographics, I am sure that surveillance can be referred to to confirm who served me on the aforesaid date. From the time this staff member began serving me, she had a rather discourteous demeanor. The staff member proceeds to collect my insurance and military ID cards and advises me to have a seat. There was no evidence of customer service nor any evidence of courtesy; however, what was evident was how impolite this woman was towards me, and to think that I was just a patient in pain seeking to get care at this time absolutely boggles my mind, as I can only imagine what other patients are experiencing when encountering this staff member. Moreover, after about 12 minutes or so, the staff member calls me back to the counter and informs me that I have a copayment. I respectfully responded that there should be no copayment, and without a word, the staff member frustratingly gets up to look for the other staff members, C or M. When the staff member approached the counter, I informed her that I had advised the receptionist that I had two insurances and that I suspected that something may not have been processed correctly. The staff member that I was speaking to at this time informed me that the other staff member was new and that she did say sorry; however, although the staff member mentioned an apology to her coworker regarding the situation, the said staff member never personally came to offer an apology directly and remained to have an ill-mannered demeanor. As a result of this staff member’s conduct, I advised the staff member who began working with me to resolve the issue that I had encountered much incivility since my arrival and that better customer service was needed. I presumed that all would be well following the situation, but another patient approached with an 1530 appointment and was seen before me. I inquired as to why that was, and I was informed that they were still waiting on the insurance and that the other patient was there for a different clinic (workers' compensation). At this point, I was extremely frustrated with everything and requested the names of the two staff members who served me; the names were written on a piece of paper. After some time, I was finally able to see someone who thought these staff members were wonderful. I’ll conclude here by saying that, while I understand that staff members are human and fall short,  professionalism, courtesy, and consideration should be at the forefront of every business. Staff members should display professional moral conduct at all times, especially when encountering patients. Moreover, you never know what another person may be going through, so it’s important that we be mindful and aware of our actions and how we treat others, whether professionally or personally. Staff members should strive to keep patients in a calm and collected space. It’s never easy to prepare a review that involves feedback regarding a bad experience, especially for a place of business that I respect and love to attend. Having said that, in all of my time visiting this clinic, this has had to be the worst experience I have had, and I hope that I will never be prompted to leave such reviews going forward.

This was terrible- no wait time given; advertised as a walk-in clinic but clearly they take appointments which was not shared at check-in. I do not recommend it and would go anywhere but here.

just now Went yesterday and was told to make an appointment online since everything that day was full. Info home and make an appointment for 1. Submitted all the insurance stuff and ID. Get a text confirmation of the visit time. Remember, visit time. I arrive 30 minutes early to check in and was told that I didn't have an appointment, what I had was a check in time. No. I got a message saying a visit. Well it seems in their small inept world, a visit is not an appointment but rather a check in. If you're going to make registration a check-in time and not an appointment, then update your broken system. Then they couldn't tell me how long a wait it is besides "long". I know it's busy right now, but show some damned professionalism. You make people aware both online and on the phone you aren't making an appointment.

I am a Tricare for Life/ Medicare insured patient who went to this "Urgent?" care facility 12/23/18 to get a bandage change on my foot from a procedure that had been done at the wound care center on Thursday 12/20/18 (as Home Healthcare had not been dispatched to my home due to someone's carelessness). My bandages were seriously in need of changing due to excessive bleeding from the wound. I asked if there was anyone on duty that could change the dressings and the receptionist went into the back to ask and returned to tell me that they did not feel comfortable treating me as they did not do the surgery? I asked did they know of anyone that could help me and she recommended the ER at the hospital. I wasn't about to take a slot from someone in need of emergency care for a bandage change (this place was empty). Now I can only assume that they were just worried about being sued or being involved in some sort of lawsuit should I have problems with my foot later but how would they know if they didn't even ask what was wrong with my foot? Heck, they didn't even ask me anything nor talk to me. It is really sad when people cannot get healthcare this simple even with perfectly good insurance due to laws and the fear of them. Why have me sign paper after paper if you are not covering yourself? REALLY?
