I never been treated so poorly in my life as a person who also happens to be a disabled veteran, believe me I’ve seen and met some horrible people in my life but nothing compared to what I experienced at this office in front of my children. I called and inquired about a COVID test after googling urgent care near me for my children and I. My place of business has a lot people in at it and my sister suggested weekly or bi-weekly testing because she works for the Union and does it herself. I explained that my family and I had moved down from California and all of us weren’t covered. I am a veteran and can be seen at the local Va but is 30 mins away from home and it’s a Sunday so-testing is unavailable. I hadn’t been around anyone positive and I wear my mask even at work but I rather be safe than sorry because I have 3 little ones. Upon speaking with Mark over the phone he was extremely nice and even when me and my children came into the office still nice and accommodating. When he asked me for insurance which I had for my girls who are adopted and went to explain to him that I was told that va could cover the cause of 3 urgent care visits a year because I I am a disabled veteran he accused me a being a liar and that I was trying to commit fraud because I had previously stated on the phone that I was uninsured. As a veteran you can On be seen at your local va however if there is a urgent need they can and will cover the cost of urgent care visits up to 3 a year which was explained to me by a call center rep. He then asked me to leave his facility and called the local p.d. Because I was trying to speak to him as a human being as a person. I was in total shock that he accused me of things I didn’t do. He handles the situation poorly neither the less in front of my children accused me of having Covid and trying to endanger his life by not leaving his building. I then accused him of being racially biased against me for refusing to even explain to me why he refused to see me and my children. I say this to you Mark you don’t know what mental state people are in when they come see your as a medical provider if you are unable to verify the information because it’s a Sunday that’s understandable ask the patient to come on a day that you can verify the information don’t list your place a business as a urgent care facility if you don’t provide urgent care I don’t believe be you are a bad person I just believed you judged me without knowing me or allowing me to explain. You have the right to refuse services to anyone at your of business but you literally scared me and my children I have need vet been treated in this way in my life.
