I visited the High Desert Clinic in Sierra Vista May 13, 2024 with symptoms of a heart attack. The doctor took my vitals, blood pressure, blood oxygen level and pulse rate. I was told there was nothing they could do for me and sent me on my way. I promptly went to the ER at Canyon Vista Medical Center and was diagnosed with a heat attack, later I was airlifted to St. Mary's Hospital in Tucson and promptly treated. My issue is that the $279 charge for the visit was excessive for the service I received. Even though Medicare paid for part of the bill, I was left with a significant amount to pay for a service that did not warrant that amount.

My questions in advance were answered quickly on the phone. I was also quickly processed into their system. I had what I consider a very short wait for an urgent care (especially when I realized I was arriving right at the noon hour). All three of the staff I met were polite, friendly and efficient. I’m confident that the care I received will take care of the problem. I was on my way in just under an hour, start to finish.

I needed an xray of my hand and called ahead to make sure they were open on New Years Eve. They said they would stop taking patients at 2PM. So I use sick leave to leave work early and arrive at 1230 only to be told that they arent taking anymore patients for the day… This has happened to me twice now. Seems like common practice for them to close whenever they want, despite what their website or receptionist say. Its the kind of service Ive come to expect in this small town.

Went right away to the High Desert Clinic...they did a swab and told me within a few minutes I had step and gave me the appropriate treatment. Doctors Are knowledgeable and thorough. So greatful they are here in SV. I would still be walking around getting sicke spreading strep throat. I'm not one to be coddled over I understand the world doesn't revolve around me. That being said I was treated in a genuinely positive manner( not pretends friendly). From the front staff to the doctors..the actually listened to me and told me what to do to treat my strep throat. . I don't expect people to go out of their way to make me feel special, but please do your jobs....And they do...and they do it well.

Earlier that day I went to the regular ER for an unusually sore throat, swollen tonsils, and aches and pains all over my body. After doing a swab they said I had a sore throat (viral). I went right away to High Desert Clinic and after waiting maybe 20 mins the staff put me in a room and triaged me. They were genuinely kind and showed sympathy for the run around I had been getting, even though I wasn't asking for it. The Doctor at High Desert Clinic did his own swab, and sure enough it came back positive in less than 20mins. I'm so relieved that they are giving me antibiotics so I don't go around infecting other people.
