Dr. Issa was extremely helpful and even called an ophthalmologist for an emergency situation with my eye for an appointment that day. He is very professional and had a fantastic attitude. Dr. Issa was determined to get help to resolve my urgent situation. Dr. Issa deserves a raise and a free trip to Bora Bora for two!!! A+A+A+A+

I highly suggest never going to Kootenai! Save yourself and go to Northwest. I made an appointment online. Upon arrival, I was on hold for over 20 minutes. When I finally got through, I was instructed to come inside the clinic. I then waited an additional 15 minutes to be told I do NOT have an appointment. I showed them the texts, etc. They then proceeded to let me know they will have to put me BACK in-line and it will be over a 3 hour wait!! When I discussed the situation with the Patient Coordinator they informed that “nobody wants to work” and there is nothing they can do. The reality is Kootenai had numerous physicians leave due to contract issues, the community will now absorb poor management decisions. I made an appointment online at Northwest, by the time I drove to their location they were prepared as per the scheduled appointment. This is a very sad situation for our community.

I understand the precautions of COVID, but the way they handled these “pre-cautions” are not patient/ customer friendly . The way they pushed us away ... made us wait in our car to see if they could help us was mind blowing . Also once we were in the clinic the wait times were awful, the doctor, nurses and x-ray tech were standing outside our door talking instead of helping my mom. They were not helping any other patients we could hear them talking about TV shows and diets instead of taking care of my mom. We sat in the room for over an hour and the whole time I could hear them talking outside our door.

Well these folks have been great over the years but this winter we were billed twice for an extra $20 on top of our copay. Just a fee, no actual procedure. We went round and round with their billing department and it was a bit comical that the charge was really for nothing - just a fee with no explanation! Because it was billed as an extra code on top of the visit BlueCross would not pay and I don't blame my insurance. So I had to end up paying them the extra $20 twice (effectively a $55 copay) or else......what, they would turn me over to collections I guess. Disappointed, not sure what has changed but beware. I am looking elsewhere next time I need "convenient" care like this. Bummer!
