I signed up for this lab because it was the only one that had an appt time for when I needed it. When I showed up it turned out that it was at Leisure World Seal Beach and they would not let me in the front gate. I was told the lab is ONLY open to residents. I pretty much pitched a fit at that point because NOWHERE on the LabCorp website, in the conformation or any notifications after I made the appt does it state this!!! This is such an ongoing problem that the front gate has a document they hand to people telling them where to go just down the street to get our blood drawn. I found out this is an ongoing problem of OVER 5 YEARS!!! Seriously??? How could you at corporate let this continue for over 5 years? Shame on you! I ended up speaking to a Linda Bast(?) a supervisor in the patient relations department who said she would get back with me within 48 hours and gave me a direct line call back of 858-668-3998. She said this is the first she heard of it. I still have not heard back from her. The lab director at the site should also be ashamed that they allowed this to continue for 5 years. The only day I could take this test was that morning and thankfully they were able to get me in and the other lab. Corporate...YOU NEED TO DEAL WITH THIS!! All it would take it a note on that lab's listing to say (Please note: this lab is for Leisure World residents only, no others will be permitted.) and this never would have happened. Folks, if this happens to you call Linda at the number above. Maybe, just maybe if she gets enough complaints it will actually get changed.
