Today we had bad experience with the front office staff. We took our 3 year old for urgent care visit. I have submitted my insurance details upfront online. My copay for urgent care visit is $50. But the office staff charged me $145 for the visit. Even though the insurance breakdown shows $50 clearly on it, they overcharged me. When I confronted on the charges multiple times then the front office lady said I’ll get refund for $95 after 10 business days. But she didn’t give any answers for why she overcharged me. I have asked for answers and she really dont have any as she clearly accepted the overcharge for our visit. This kind of activity of overcharging patients has to take seriously by the management.  We take our kids to get good care and we expect some act of kindness and responsibility. The nurse practitioner who checked my daughter is really good and she took good care of her. But the behavior of front office staff is not good.

My daughter was complaining about pain while going to the bathroom. So I made an appointment online which was super easy. All paperwork filled out through my phone.  I am very particular about how care is given to my daughter since I am in the healthcare field. And this is one of the most friendly places I've been! From the front of the house to the care in the exam room. Everyone was amazing. My daughter did not want to give a urine sample and the staff were very patient and understanding. The MA and the NP were amazing. So impressed with our experience at this facility. If we would ever need to, we'd definitely keep this place in mind for urgent needs.

Staff needs to tell the patient upfront on whether they gonna accept the insurance or not. Telling not accepting the specific plan at last minute after visiting the patient is not appropriate.
