I was prescribed Montelukast Sodium for minor allergies without being asked if I have any mental health conditions, which I do. If I took the prescription without doing my own research I could have significantly worsened my preexisting conditions.

WORST INTERACTION EVER This evening, I took my husband to M.D. Express Urgent Care in Williamsburg because of 2 bad wounds on his hand, one of which would not stop bleeding. We walked up to their entrance which had no exterior lights on and read a sign that listed a phone number to call. We called and presumably it was an intake person who answered. She asked us for my husband's insurance info. over the phone, while my husband was standing there bleeding. She then instructed us to return to our car. After returning to our car, she continued to question us regarding my husband's insurance. I took the phone from my husband and answered her questions. I was very anxious due to my husband's injury and my voice may have sounded a little raised over the phone. Rather than try to calm and assure us that my husband would be treated as soon as possible -- reminder, my husband was bleeding -- she told me not to yell at her. My husband told her again that he was bleeding and she repeated not to yell at her. For the record, our voices reflected our anxiety level and frustration with the delay in my husband being treated; we did not yell at nor show her any disrespect. At that point, I informed the intake person we would go elsewhere for treatment and she responded in a sing-songy voice with the snarky reply, "Have a nice night!" I then drove my husband to Riverside Doctors' Hospital Emergency Room on Commonwealth Ave. in Williamsburg. Their intake person was kind and efficient, and my husband was taken care of within minutes of our arrival. Bottom line, my husband and I will never go to M.D. Express again and will inform our family and friends of the unsympathetic, unprofessional treatment we received there. The intake person we interacted with needs to find herself some other line of work because clearly she is not suited for that job.
