My review is long and not even sure where to start. 1. Miss handled my blood work, as was left unlabeled on a counter and was not able to use it. 2. Was lied about the results of a test taken. I was told the test showed no positive signs of bacteria and that maybe we should take the test again on which I did. When I checked my portal of Quest Diagnostic, it had indicated there were unable to perform the test at all. The 2nd test was taken and received the results. 3. The carpet in the waiting area is filthy, not an environment you would expect in a doctors office. 4. Had to call 4 times to get a referral placed for a CT scan. They indicated that they had submitted to the imaging center. Only after I seeking help by establishing my care else were, was a referral place and the CT scan done. I did follow up with imaging center and did confirm that they had never received the referral from MedFirst. 5. My husband is still waiting for the results from a test done 2 months ago and has inquired about it on two occasions with out any progress. 6. There billing process is questionable, as they continue to indicate unpaid bills but when I look at the patient portal, it never indicates any amount due, even looking through the payment history. They can never really give us answers of services due nor prove they have billed us. Sadly I can go on.

I am writing this review while still waiting in the truck...which is exactly where i have been for the past 3 hours. I had a rapid COVID test appointment at 10:45. I am confused because i have heard of other places doing these tests in 15 minutes...not 3 hours. Asked if i could just get a call with results and i was told “he just has to come out of the room”. Not sure what that means but i know it was not helpful!

I just walked out without seeing a physician after having waited for 2 hours. There was a lady who had been there before I got there and she was still waiting. The receptionist just said "okay" we when I told her that I was leaving, no apologies, no explanation, no excuse, no nothing. It is not a very welcoming place.

MedFirst in Swansboro was the worst medical care experience I have ever had. They let me sign in and sit in their waiting room for 3 hours and then told me they hadn’t checked me in properly and would I mind coming back tomorrow. I was there simply to confirm flu which literally takes less than a minute. I was the last patient there and they were telling me that I could come back tomorrow. I was so sick that I broke down in tears and pleaded with them. They then found a nurse practitioner to see me. She confirmed I had the flu and a 103.1 degree fever. If I hadn’t pleaded with them to see me, they would have just continued telling me to come back tomorrow. There are great doctors and nurses that truly care about helping and healing people, and then there are places like this where they let you wait and then tell you to come back tomorrow because they made a mistake checking you in and it’s now closing time, even when you are the last patient there and you waited for 3 hours. I’m sharing this information so other patients can avoid waiting hours when they’re sick and then being told they should come back tomorrow.

These people refuse to treat military members unless you jump through about 76 hoops for them. They said it is a TriCare policy, TriCare said there is no such policy. It took over an hour to get them to even sign me in, they skipped over my appointment and I went to the back of the line. Garbage. Terrible people.
