What patients are saying...

I have regularly had gaps in my medication because MetroHealth cannot function as a health care provider. Calls go unanswered, messages go unreturned, appointments go missed, doctors leave the practice with no notice. For the last 3 weeks, I've been off of my anxiety medication that MetroHealth determined I needed almost 3 years ago because, according to the office, they cannot figure out how to send the prescription to the pharmacy. I have begged to be able to come in person to the office and pick up a physical copy of the prescription, which I was told was an option a couple weeks ago. Now, I'm told there aren't any providers at the office to write it for me. I asked if I could go to wherever they are to pick it up, or if they could mail it to me, and I was told they would look into it and call me back. That was a week ago. It has been a shock to suddenly be without medicine I've counted on to manage my condition for years. I am suffering, and I've given up on being able to receive any help from an office that has at every point been able to figure out how to bill me. 'Angry' and 'hurt' don't come close, I was being treated for a condition that makes me more prone to die by suicide and now I don't have the medicine that had it under control. This clinic should be shut down, and I sincerely hope that no one at the practice or anyone they love will ever be treated as badly as that office has treated me.
