4 weeks ago I went to MDN on Baseline and Gilbert Road and saw Pauline, the care provider there. My symptoms were massive pressure behind my ear, 80% hearing loss in my right ear, and my eyes are weeping from the pressure as well as a sinus dripping. We looked in the ear and could see no infection, just some swelling. I continued to tell them it might be behind the ear. They flushed the ear and gave me some ear drops with a topical antibiotic and sent me home. My experience at the Gilbert location was that of indifference. No notes were entered on my chart and I didn't feel anything transpired except the fact they took my money. So several days went by and nothing got better. I made another appointment with MDN, on brown. Matthew was my care provider and did a fair job trying to figure stuff out. He explained what he thought might be going on and wrote me an order for a CT scan and some antihistamines. Great I thought we might actually figure this out……………..this is where their interest in helping me stopped. No one explained to me how the CT scan process works, Or what we would be doing (the game plan). I scheduled and paid for a CT scan. Four days went by…..nothing.....and I wasn't getting better. I decided to bring the imaging disk I obtained from Simon Medical Imaging to the brown location to expedite the process and handed it to the girl at the front desk. At this point there was yet another opportunity to explain the process and the game plan and they didn't. Monday came with no phone call or follow up. I went back down to the MDN on Brown To retrieve my disk and head out to the ER. Nothing had gotten any better, it had actually gotten a little worse. Now I was dizzy, lightheaded and weak as well as can't hear out of my right ear now, not to mention the pain. Guess what they lost the imaging disk (side note) They can’t download or look at the imaging disk off a CD which would have been awesome to know beforehand. So I went back to Simon Imaging And retrieved another copy. This is where I found out no Radiology consultation had even been done yet. It was late. I was tired. So I decided to go to the ER the next morning or if it got worse later on that night. Because no one wants a $8,000 ER bill. The next morning I decided to give another primary one more shot and it wasn't with MDN. The doctor literally spent an hour orientating herself on all my past medical issues. Then had a conversation with me about what might be going on. SHE HAD A GAME PLAN. This is where I found out about the CT scan thing because she couldn't take the disc either but assured me she could go to Simon Medical Imaging site and view it which she did in front of me. She had me take a couple of over-the-counter antihistamines and allergy relief medication along with wait for it…………………….. Antibiotics. She scheduled a follow up appointment and provided several ENT referrals Back to MDN I received the radiologist notes in an email which confirmed that nobody at MDN had even looked at my CT scan yet. One day later I received an email without any notes from MDN, just a referral for the most expensive ENT specialist in the valley. This is my health, this is my well-being if MDN didn't want to treat me somebody should have spoken up. Regardless of whether this was the case MDN made no effort. Made me feel insignificant and unimportant and did it all with a smile. I wouldn't use MDN for anything but bumps and bruises and I will never use them again. If you think you have something really wrong with you, go to the ER or an established Primary don't trust your life with a gamble on whether you're going to get a healthcare provider that cares or one that's just doing time. Regardless use a real doctor not a business concept. And PLEASE DO NOT confuse friendliness with competency. Pleasantries have nothing to do with competency and are not worth your life or the life's of your loved ones. And that will eventually happen with this company.
