Had lower back pains and other symptoms which needed addressing right away and my primary care doctor was booked so they recommended I reserve a spot with urgent care so I did but at their other location. When I arrived, the lady at the front to check in was very helpful and apologized for the wait although I was early so it didn’t seem like I waited. She gave me a form to fill out and to give it to the urgent care person at the desk so I did. I asked the lady at the desk if anything else was needed and she said “I don’t know. I’m checking someone else in right now.”  There was no one there so I had no idea she was helping someone get checked in. She came off as very unpleasant so I sat back down. I was then called by the assistant to go back to the room. She was also very nice. Then the doctor came in and talked so loud that I’m sure everyone knew exactly what was going on. Note: My issues were womanly problems and quite embarrassing to discuss with anyone but my doctor. Luckily no one knew it was me but still! It was uncomfortable. Then I go into the bathroom to pee in a cup and the bathroom was filthy with used paper towels on the floor and pee stains from other people’s pee cups on the toilet paper dispenser. Then the information given to my by the doctor made absolutely no sense with what my symptoms were. I received the medication needed so it was worth going but I likely will not go to this location again.

Had chest pains with cough, headaches and sore throat that lasted over 5 days so called to make an appointment to see my doctor.  I was told my doctor and some others were out sick so I had to go to urgent care. Booked a same-day appointment and showed up more than 20 minutes early. The clinic was almost empty- just one patient waiting. I tried to check in at the empty lines but was told to check-in at the urgent care desk, where there was no employee. The other patient was standing in front of the urgent care desk waiting so I stood in line behind them. After about 5 minutes, they were directed to go check in at one of the two open regular window. So I went over to the second available window and was told to wait another few minutes before being checked in (by a very sweet lady). My main dissatisfaction is with the provider who saw me. I told her I had chest pains and would like an X-rays to make sure I didn’t have pneumonia/walking pneumonia, as I had all the symptoms (and that was going around at the school I work at). She quickly listened to my back (not even my chest) and said I was fine. Then she looked in my throat, ears and nose and said she thinks I am developing an ear infection on my left ear and would give me antibiotics. I let her know I recently started a new medication and didn’t want any adverse interactions. I had many concerns and questions but she seemed in a rush to send me out/away - even though it did not appear to be busy.  I went to the pharmacy to pick up my antibiotics and was given three medications total. Ear drops for my right ear - but my “ear infection” was in the left ear!! Whose mistake is that?!  A 10-day (20 capsules) dose of antibiotics for a “possible” ear infection!? And also. Some cough suppressant capsules that I had no idea she prescribed. What about the chest pain, sore throat, and headaches that I still have?!? This is the first time I feel unconfident in taking prescribed medications. Would not recommend this provider to anyone!

Woke up this morning feeling terrible, after my 1 1/2 hour drive I was able to check in easly. The gentleman manning the front desk is a gem (do everything you can to keep an employee like him) he was informative and made the process easy. Suffered a syncopal with head injury that required staples ten days ago. The laceration was millimeters away from my skull. I came in today to have the staples removed. The receptionist is really easy to chat with and set clear, easy to manage expectations. She even remembered where I worked after my first visit here which was weeks ago! I wish I would have gotten her name. Starting off a medical visit anywhere with a great receptionist is top level. I saw a friendly doctor who painlessly removed my staples, again, great conversation and cared. Her joke to have me wear a helmet was met with joyful banter back about wrapping myself in bubble wrap. Another great woman. I am working on getting all my healthcare moved from the renown medical system to the northern Nevada medical system because of how I am treated as a human, the delicacy provided by medical staff and care of supporting staff.
