What patients are saying...

1.0

Do not send anyone here. My daughter was 16, and was placed here for a small issue. She was treated awfully. The nurses were so rude. She asked for more water, a nurse told her that she had enough. There is no toilet paper in the restroom and it is so dirty. She slept on a table that they call a “bed” with one small blanket. The food she was given was barely edible. She was given snacks which kept her from being super hungry. The room she was in was shared with another patient who was a male and he asked to kiss her and she told the nurse and the nurse said “it’s fine, let me know though if he touches you”. The room she was in had bugs and blood on the wall. You never knew what time of day it was because no clock or window or anything. She just sat in the room and stared at the ceiling. There are right of patients posted on walls and she had read them while waiting to keep herself occupied while waiting and they made her change into a hospital gown. She did. She asked to keep her belongs with her as it said was fine on the rights list. The nurse said no. She didn’t argue but was concerned because they made her take off her rings and earrings that were valuables. When it was time to leave, stuff was missing. Her dad, my husband is a lawyer and if it weren’t for that, we would not have gotten them back. It was up to the doctor to decide when she was able to leave but they rarely talked to her and the doctors constantly switched. The called us, her parents, to tell us that they are going to move her to De Amo, another hospital since this is just an er. We looked it up and the reviews raised a major red flag. We instantly called saying we were not comfortable with this place and they didn’t care. Then we got serious and expressed that we are going to need to talk to the head doctor. At first, no care was given but then we expressed that there’s going to be Issue because as parents of a minor we were not ok with that. We asked if they had read the reviews of the place they are sending patients too and the doctor said she was not familiar with this place actually. They got scared After we said we are going to make this a big deal if this happens and then agreed that the place was no right for her. The doctors don’t know anything. They are not friendly. You can tell they do not like their jobs. I could go on but you get the point that this place is not ok.
