I write this review still in shock. I am a 61 year old healthy woman. I had used some sunscreen over the weekend and developed a rash on my arms. I thought I would wait it out, but the itch and burn were too much. That being said, I decided to try the closest urgent care to my office. When I pulled up to piedmont, they only had one car in the lot. Jackpot! When I walked into the empty waiting room I was greeted by a very nice receptionist. I explain my situation, she paused and went into the back to speak with the pa/dr. When she returned, I was denied treatment because the pa/dr is pregnant and she felt it was not safe for her to look at my rash! I was denied treatment. She said I could go to a different piedmont, they could probably treat me. I went to a completely different urgent care. I was given steroids for my allergic reaction. Medical is a business and this business is terrible. If they can’t handle a rash, imagine if your loved one was really ill. My best recommendation is keep moving down the road and skip piedmont urgent care on marketplace blv in cumming ga Leslie eversole

I'm leaving all those "one stars" as I got a crappy nurse taking my vitals & info. Her name was Tracy. She was brusque & dismissive. I asked her what her name is & she tugged on what I'm guessing was her name tag & said "Tracy," in a "duh can't you see" manner but her name tag was turned away from me so how the bloody hell was I to know? She treated me with disdain & as though she found me to be irritable. I wasn't there to wheedle money from my employer, I was there because I was HURTING due to a work accident! Isn't that what THEY are there for, to help me with that? She treated me like I were a criminal & spoke to me like I were hard of hearing (I'm 61, not in the least bit hard of hearing). She said, "Sit somewhere comfortable, when your manager comes of his lunch break we'll see if he thinks we should treat you." I don't know if she was having a 'bad day' but I don't care. She ought not bring her issues to work. I work as a cashier & check people through for hours & hours...can you imagine me treating them badly cos my sister has lung cancer? D'you see my point? By-the-way, the gals in the reception area are stellar & by no means anything like this Tracy person...

Dr. Rice and staff were professional, helpful and understanding of my injury. Wait times are reasonable when needing care immediately. I was impressed with the overall quality of care. I would use Dr Rice as my PCP if I could!!

NIGHTMARE. Stay away. Go anywhere but here. The staff is the RUDEST and most unhelpful staff I have ever encountered. You're dealing with sick people, sorry for inconveniencing gossip hour.

Dr. Rice and his staff were great!! He took the time to understand my issues and got me in and out quickly. What a great experience, I will definitely be back.
