On the morning of 12/21, my dog Charlie had difficulty getting up on his hind legs. Yet the previous evening he could get up and walk. He was also shaking an awful lot. I called our Vet. and they recommended he go to the emergency. I brought him to your facility since it was the closest. He was able to walk to the car, but it was obvious he was walking awkwardly on his back legs. He continued to shake a lot. When we arrived at your facility we were placed in a room to await a doctor. No one came for at least an hour during which time our dog was up and down but still shaking badly. At one point I needed to go to the bathroom and I walked Charlie to your desk and asked if they would watch him, which they did. Upon my return I walked Charlie back to the room. Dr. Foxwell (sp?) arrived and we spoke about his issues and background and that it happened so quickly with Charlie. She took him away and later told me her findings. She felt that the medicine she prescribed should hopefully bring him back to normal and did not feel back surgery was necessary and most of the times was not that successful. She also said we needed to have our vet take a blood test in a week. The details are on your records. When I went to get Charlie he was unable to get up on his hind legs. I helped him up but he immediately fell back. Your staff had to carry him to my car. After giving him two doses of your recommended medicines he was shaking much worser and I called our vet on 12/22 for a second opinion who had only a 3:45 pm appointment. Her immediate observation was he was in terrible pain and she needed to inject pain killer. It helped but it was obvious he was still in pain and needed additional injections. Her observation was that he had an issue with his back and in her opinion needed immediate surgery. She made phone calls to Scan and they were in surgery but could bring in staff to do an emergency operation if we got there by 6:30 pm. We did and after arriving they did an MRI and Dr. Kelly told us he had a bad disc and needed immediate surgery. My issue with your facility is since Charlie was in so much pain and could not walk at all after giving him back to me you should have recommended surgery as soon as could be arranged without having ultimately needing it be done on an immediate basis. The cost for immediate surgery was an additional $2000. At one point during my two hours wait I thought about leaving with Charlie and taking him to my Vet. It would have saved me the cost of my visit at your facility with the same outcome. That is the reason for “0” which I plan on doing so on other websites. Your staff at the counter was very cooperative.

They did not treat the issue my let was brought in for. Treated a non ER issue instead of referring. Pushed for other services in their clinic, which were also inappropriate. Prescribed unneeded medications and instructed on how to use incorrectly. The clinic was filthy. I hope the treatment areas were clean. Almost $1000 for nothing. Would not recommend this clinic.
