Update 6/27/24 Sterling bases their charges on how ill you are. The billing department informed me today the sicker you are the more they have decided they can charge you for an office visit. DO NOT GO TO THIS CLINIC. I have received an additional bill for $216.55 in addition to over $500 I already paid. Along with this bill is a print out informing me it is NOT a “surprise” bill. I have exchanged multiple emails with Mr Kenning and no attempt was made to explain the bills, or satisfy the situation. Other than for me to go back to the clinic. How much would that have cost me? They knew I was extremely ill and took the opportunity to get every penny they could, every step of the way avoiding answering questions. That includes Mr Kenning who just stopped answering emails. I am told this new bill is between me and another company, despite the fact it has the providers name, Christopher Wiggins, and the address of Sterling Urgent Care. The billing department I spoke with is not located in Idaho Falls, despite what they say, it is outsourced to another country. DO NOT TRUST THIS HEALTHCARE PROVIDER For some reason they can’t give you a statement, a break down of the charges, until you’ve made a payment or it has gone through the billing department. They push and push you to just pay $141 and make payment plans for the rest. When I walked I was told $141 for the visit. Turns out they classify patients differently, a new patient appointment (depending on ailment) is over $300 just to see the dr. I won’t go back, shady shady billing practices, and they dodge every attempt to explain anything until you’ve paid. UPDATE - Never received a call back about a urine culture they had sent off. I called them to follow up. They had the results within days and “don’t know why no one called me”. When I told the nurse “I don’t feel better, shouldn’t I be feeling better by now?” She LAUGHED and said “well I sure would hope so”. To put it lightly, I am livid. I paid $515, and now have absolutely no trust in this clinic, doctors, or staff. And after 2 weeks of feeling like crap, I am going to have to see and pay another doctor that might actually care about my health. Also, made sure I got copies of my medical records, Dr Wiggins signed off on my paperwork on June 2, results for my culture were received by the clinic on May 31. Today is June 6, and I had to call to get the results. I also asked about programs to help quit smoking, Dr Wiggins said he was aware of none, and it specifically states on my paperwork that I am not ready to quit smoking and was offered help if I changed my mind. I am just blown away by behavior of the employees at this clinic. They also refuse to give you any kind of information to speak with anyone about issues, unless it is someone at their location.

My child was swabbed for strep, I had a list of symptoms. They only swabbed me for the flu, that came back negative. Several different illnesses can mimic the flu, and I was tested for nothing else. The doctor did not look into my throat, or feel my tonsils. Upon getting home and still feeling absolutely awful, I looked in my throat, and my tonsils are nearly doubled in size, and touching my uvula. They are not normal size, and I have almost suffocated from strep in the past. I do in fact have strep as well as my daughter. So thanks for skipping a simple step and costing my time when I already feel sick.

They were all great, quick and efficient

I go to this clinic because I don’t have to make an appointment I just walk in and wait time is less than 10 minutes. The staff is friendly and the care is excellent! I highly recommend it.
