I appreciate that urgent care is available to me as a patient. My request for a sick visit from my primary care yielded a first available appt. in March. From a patient’s perspective, there is high turnover and a shortage of doctors at West Med

While the staff was friendly the person checking me in was not very thoughtful.I came in because my right hand was injured. I told him I didn’t think I could fill out forms. He then asked me a bunch of questions and eventually presented me with a form re liability and told me I had to print my name and the date then sign it . I guess I looked unhappy because he suggested using my left hand. Why didn’t he offer to print my name and the date and then I could scribble the signature? I did it but it was painful.

The only thing I was disappointed with is the doctor gave me a prescription for a muscle relaxer when I went to pick it up at CVS the pharmacist told me that I could not take it because if I took something to do with my heart. The doctor should’ve looked in the computer to see what other medication’s I was taken. Thank God the pharmacist caught it.  The doctor did call me this morning and he said he’s not going to send another prescription over as of now. He was glad the pharmacist caught it.

I'm always impressed by the quality of care that I receive at Westmed. Scheduling and checking in/paying the copay online is very convenient. Everyone from the desk clerk to the LPN and especially the doctor are so nice and very thorough. They also answer all of your questions and don't rush you out.
