I came in today because I thought I had strep throat was so sore and hard to swallow anything. My doctor suggested I go to urgent care and when I got there, there was only one person at the head of me so it was quick which I am very grateful for. From checking in at the main desk in urgent care and then to the doctors assistant in the room and then the doctor, all were so wonderful and friendly.  Tomorrow is Thanksgiving. I am grateful for so many things. 😉

Nursing care was very good. Dr Wan's bedside manner was horrible. He did not listen and was very condescending. He did not explain the prescriptions or course of treatment. He did not review my records carefully (claimed I received 20 Covid boosters, for example. I told him that want accurate but he obviously was in such a rush (and overconfident) that he didn't see that many dates were duplicated repeatedly). The notes are inaccurate and do not reflect what I told him. He was actually rude at times. Without exaggeration, I have seen maybe 30 doctors over the past year (due to a heart attack) and he was by far the worst in terms of interaction. Finally, he said my sore throat was the result of allergies when I told him that I was the last person in my house to get the same infection that is going around. (Allergies are not contagious.) You can check my patient notes to confirm that it doesn't even mention the possibility of an infection. I do not recommend Dr. Wan at all for future patients and hope to not need his services ever again

I woke up this morning with discomfort along my neck & back areas on the left side.  Around 3:00pm, I noticed a more pronounced sensation around the left clavicle.  I came to West Med Urge Care and was seen by the doctor in a reasonable amount of time.  He ordered an x-ray and immediately diagnosed my condition.  Yes, I would recommend this provider.

As always, the Urgent Care was a Godsend & my concerns were identified & addressed. Thanks to everyone from the scheduling, to the check in, to the x-ray tech, to the Dr (Joy) 🫶👍

I had knee pain and needed a X-ray and ultrasound. I ended up walking out because of a long wait when they called in everyone who arrived after me. Very upset

Checked the online booking system for an appointment first and none were available on Sunday, however, the app said there were only 3 patients waiting. When we arrived no more than 15 minutes later, there were at least 10 people already waiting. The staff member checking us in was ambivalent towards us and once checked in, we had to wait more than an hour and 15 minutes to be seen. I understand that there were many patients already waiting to be seen, and acknowledge the possibility that there was a large influx of patients immediately before we arrived, but a more than hour wait with a sick child is interminable. Please work on reducing wait times.  I was also extremely disappointed by Dr. Wan. Admittedly, I had a prior bad experience with this doctor who misdiagnosed me a year ago and have a negative bias against him, however, after examining my son, he said, within my son’s earshot, that he was concerned by his findings and that they could represent an emergent condition and warned us to go to the ER. After I told him that my son has had similar symptoms in the past and that his Summit Health ENT never expressed any concern, Dr. Wan reversed himself and said that we didn’t need to go to the ER. Are my sons records of visits to other Summit Health doctors not accessible to Urgent Care staff, or did Dr. Wan not bother to look? Also, the nurse (who was friendly and professional) took Covid, flu, and strep tests. We had to ask Dr. Wan for the results and even though all three were negative, he prescribed antibiotics anyway.  I’ve had multiple bad experiences with this physician and suggest his Department Chief conduct a review. I also recommend that Summit remind its staff that they are dealing with sick, sometimes scared, and often frustrated people and that a little more friendliness, compassion, and professionalism will go a long way.

Had an exam and diagnosis and meds sent to my pharmacy so I can be treated to relieve symptoms same day.  I just wonder if after the nurse is taking comprehensive info, the doctor actually reviews that.

The doctor is great, medical staff is great, impossible to make appointments, in two hours to wait in urgent care when you’re very sick is really not acceptable.
