Experiencing UTI symptoms since the wee hours of the morning. Fortunately the waiting room was empty and I was seen right away. I was expecting to wait - ‘‘tis the season of flu & pneumonia. Dr. Esteban was thorough with the exam and answered all my questions. Extremely kind - I had a lot of questions. Nurse Melissa brought laughter into the room while taking vitals. Thanks RH urgent care !

I came in with severe lower back pain, making it incredibly difficult to stand or walk. I expressed concern over this being a possible kidney infection based on my previous experiences, and the doctor denied running a blood test to check for went white blood cell count upon my request, simply because I did not have a fever and the urine came back clear at the time. I was only offered antibiotics, no prescribed pain meds. The next morning, I went to the ER because the pain was intolerable, and my white blood cell count was at 15, when the upper end of the normal range is 10, indicating infection, despite my urine still being clear, and I was admitted to the hospital. I feel that it was a disregard for my knowledge of my own body’s health history and laziness that resulted in no blood test being done. Had a blood test been done that day, I would have gone to the ER that same day before the pain got so bad that I was on the floor at home sobbing.
