This is by far the worse place I have ever been to. Trying to get a COVID test here is a nightmare. Even if you have an appointment and show up on time you will still have to wait 45 minutes. They make you call from your car to state you are here but won’t even pick up the phone. So when you go inside to tell them you are here they turn you away and tell you to call. I waited over an hour to get a covid test even though I had an appointment. I would never come back here in my life. The lady who works the front desk is so rude and nasty. The staff is nasty. No one even says hello to you. Save yourself the headache and don’t come here either.

I want to put it out there that nurses and doctors are my hero’s and truly amazing! Throughout my years of dealing with 100+ doctors and nurses for my boys they all have shown love, empathy and compassion. My continuing to post today and this week is not a reflection at all on the majority of them. The people at Doctor Urgent Care that refused to help Matthew need some lessons and truly are despicable. Not even an apology for what they did when they know they made a huge mistake. So, I will post again and again to make sure my voice is heard... For the first time I personally can say I understand discrimination. I am not one to post about personal experiences especially when it comes to my children. I would never place a negative thing on social media about someone or something but today I must! Our life isn’t easy, but the one constant was always knowing the medical profession was there to support us. Well, today was a very different story. I called the Doctors Office Urgent Care Manalapan to see if I could get an X-ray for my son. I explained that he has special needs but he likes going to doctors and I would happily go Into the X-ray room with him. They said this is not a problem and I made the appointment. After 30 minutes of sitting in a waiting room with people coming In being tested for Covid I still waited patiently and anxiously. I needed to see if Matts hand was broken and the last place I wanted to go was the ER. Finally, 30 minutes later they ask me questions and more questions. I am unaware of how he got hurt and being he is non verbal with a high pain tolerance we needed to get things done. His one hand was double the size of the other, all black and blue and his fingers swollen. So, I’m with my son, a special needs adult who was happily rocking back and forth looking at the iPhone. The tech comes out and says, I would be "better off" in the EMERGENCY ROOM!! My mouth dropped wide open I guess in shock and I said, why? The person said the tech was not comfortable and they would not be able to deal with behaviors. I said, “does he look like he is having behaviors at the moment!” The comeback was they didn’t feel equipped. The ER would be best suited for him in case he needed to be held down, papoosed, if necessary. I was still in disbelief. Are you telling me you just do not want to deal with a developmentally challenged adult? They said if he moves then they need to repeat the X-ray and that is more radiation. I said he won’t move, I’ll be with him, and isn’t it my choice as a mother how many X-rays he gets. Well, the tech is not uncomfortable and the provider agreed and said we can’t do this. Provider? You called BCBS, that’s my provider! No we discussed as a team we are the providers! I started to get a little loud, composed myself, and said we waited 30 minutes for you to turn us away after speaking with someone this morning about my son. The tech or whoever in scrubs turned her back and walked away. I went outside, composed myself, put Matthew in the car and marched back in demanding the name of the tech and supervisor. Hours later I am still heartbroken and dumbfounded. These are medical professionals who take an oath to help all. In a world full of hate and fear; you expect your own community to be more supportive and accepting! I write this to spread the word and to stop another mother father, caregiver from feeling the pain I felt today for my son. Think before you walk into this facility, a facility that "picks and chooses" who they will treat as a patient. Luckily Matthew was able to receive amazing care at an orthopedic later today and he is doing much better. No broken bones! The technician staff yesterday at The Doctors' Office Urgent Care of Manalapan, NJ (I will be the bigger person and leaves their names off of social media) should take a few lessons in kindness, compassion and discrimination. I have elementary school students who would be happy explain it to you!

They told us that the Covid antibody test costs $50 then after all 4 of us went to take the test, they billed us $600 for "office visits" which did not happen, but according to them going to have blood drawn is an office visit. And to top it off, the $600 doesnt even include cost for blood work. When I called to complain, the Msnalapan office manager hung up on me. What a rip off and a scam they're running. Will repost if things change...

Poor attitude on the girl who answered the phone. They didn't want me to come back to get a new prescription at 9:40 PM after I left...went to my pharmacy and they didn't carry the medication. All I wanted to do was exchange for a new medication and she told me they were closed. She suggested I keep trying other pharmacies at 9:40 PM. Ridiculous. Shame on these low class supposed medical care centers. They only hire people that the real high level centers won't take.
