oid this clinic by all costs! If you don't value customer service, being treated appropriately and general respect, do visit. I visited this clinic after reading reviews about this black owned dr on facebook and waited 2 months for an appointment to be met by a sassy nasty attitude woman at the front desk talking on her phone while trying to check in. Getting confused with her personal conversation and if she was talking to me was strike 1. Next she requested that i print my insurance cards and I asked how come i wasnt informed that it was needed prior. She got smart with me and said that it was sent in a text that I never received. I attempted to share feedback about the inconvenience and how customers can be made known prior and I was met with an even bigger dismissive attitude. She talked over me and kept saying “thank you” to shut me up. Only because there was a print shop next door, I went next door to have the card printed and when i returned, dr giles proceeds to address the front desk woman about what happened while i was standing there. The woman was explaining that i was confused about the card being held on file, which was never a cause for concern or confusion. When i began to explain to dr giles the confusion she began to shout over me and tell me that the policies were all over the paperwork and if i didnt like it that was too bad. Her and the front desk woman were literally shouting and talking simultaneously to me that i was the problem here. I grabbed my cards and shared that this business was the problem and that I would not want to be seen by them. This is the second black owned dr i have attempted to make a lifelong relationship with and was met with an aggressive, rude, ignorant, incompetent and unprofessional front desk person, which is absolutely disheartening. This is the first and last time Id ever stand to be disrespected by a “so called professional doctor” though. I urge you to hold all professionals accountable and demand respect when supporting businesses; black or not. I will continue to share feedback about processes and communication that is sub par to hopefully have businesses do better. Not only will i not return, but i will share this experience with any and everyone. Not looking to ruin anyone’s business, but definitely to hold them accountable to the same standards and expectations we receive from businesses ran by people that don’t look like us. We HAVE to do better black people!

Avoid at all costs! I was a new patient and went in for an annual physical for preventative medicine. Annual physicals are and have been completely covered under my health insurance plan for 12 plus years. Thrive incorrectly charged $30 co-pay, billed for upper/lower extremities services ($40), and additional lab work ($7.48). I did not receive or ask for any additional services outside my routine annual physical. Over the next two months, I sent the Doctor three messages on their portal and called six times to find out why I was charged for my physical and billed for services I did not receive. I never received a response on the portal and office staff cannot explain the extra billings. Each time, office staff say they will call back or that I need to call my insurance. My insurance provider explained the billing codes and said I was billed incorrectly and higher by Thrive. On my sixth call, I was finally transferred to Anna, who could not explain the billings and charges, but said I am being dismissed as a patient. After Anna could not answer any questions or provide billing information, she simply said I was being dismissed and they will not talk to me any longer. This is the craziest healthcare experience I’ve had. Again, avoid at all costs because you will be billed for multiple services not received and staff will not answer any questions or respond on the portal.
