What patients are saying...

I went to Urgent Care for a very large blood blister on my leg (fist size). The young man I saw first asked questions to fill out a questionaire. He was extremely nice and caring. Then I saw a nurse who barely looked at my leg and said she would drain my leg and bandage it. She left to get her equipment she said. Someone else came in and moved us to another room. I finally went out to find the nurse and she was on the phone with her fiance’ doctor. Finally she came back and said she wouldn’t drain it that the doctor on call said no. So I asked to see the doctor. She glanced at my leg and said “I don’t do that”. She was very unprofessional and almost rude as she smirked at us. She finally sent a young girl who wrapped it so loosely that it slid down my leg before I even left. They sent us out the door to the parking lot and we were almost run over by them trying to leave. I was from out of town so I had to wait two days before I got home to my doctor. He took one look and said that needs to be drained and you need to be on antibiotics. He couldn’t believe nothing was done and they let me travel with my leg like that especially going through an airport where I could have been bumped and it opened up. The doctor at your Urgent Care said my leg would absorbe the blister, but my doctor said as large as it was_ that would never happen. I would not recommend your facility to anybody. I assume since it was Friday afternoon, they just wanted to get out and go home so doing nothing was easier. We were there about two and a half hours for nothing.

Nothing at all was done for patient. Very Large hematoma on leg. Offered no care except to wrap with guaze which did”t even stay on leg until we left the office. It slid right off. First person we saw was going to lance, drain, dress, and give antibiotic, she went to get equipment and we waited and waited. She was on phone with fiancee’s doctor and just left us sitting. Then she finally comes back and says doctor said not to drain. The doctor hadn’t even seen the leg. We asked for her and after another long wait she wandered in and said “ I don’tdo That”. It would have helped if she at least looked at it. After another wait, someone else came in to wrap it. This made no sense because no one had done anything and it was in the same condition as when we got there. Doctor did nothing but smirk at us and most staff was out of the building running for the parking lot before we even left. * Best bedside manner was young man we saw first that asked questions and took vitals when we were first put in a room. Very nice, easy caring manner that put patient at ease.
