The nurse practitioner was TERRIBLE. We were obviously bothering her. She walked in and said “she’s negative for everything so she probably needs a trip downtown”. Talking about children’s hospital. That is not something that a mom takes lightly when you haven’t even checked her and then act like you don’t want to touch her. She never looked at her throat and was very annoyed when I asked if she would. NOW I know that my child did have RSV per the chart but I have not gotten a phone call or even a message regarding the results I found on her portal. Thankfully I work for an ENT and he gave my child an antibiotic for her GREEN snot and possibly prevented pneumonia due to the RSV. This is the second time a diagnosis has been missed by this clinic, within 2 months for my children. We will not be back. Which is a true shame because it could be very convenient.

I’ve used this urgent care a few times but it appears the quality of care has decreased. I will probably not use this service again and start waiting for after hour appointments and our PCP.

Staff were very nice. My daughter is on the spectrum and she was having fit and a half but the stage remained professional and tended to my daughter with ease. Like it’s a cake walk. And for that I thank you.

My son Bless came in for not eating, fever and cough. The receptionist was honest about wait time, which was a problem. The nearest children hospital er is further away and longer wait. The staff in the back seems very much in a rush to get everything done. One joked that my son loved me sometimes and his vibe was silly. Didn’t find it professionally. My son is only one what is this to tell him. The techs wasn’t patient enough to get his O2, yes he kept moving but he’s 2. We will not be back.

The fastest, most wonderful urgent care experience I’ve ever had with my kids.

Child is prone to severe sinus infections due to underlying conditions. Has been sick over a week. Doctor did not prescribe any medication to help. Will have to see pediatrician after the holidays for help. Child has green thick mucus (over a week). Nurse practitioner wants child to take over the counter medication. This is something that we go through every year and a small dosage of steroids are prescribed to help due to underlying conditions. Nothing was done.

Throughout the day yesterday my two daughters complained of throat pain and not feeling well. I prebooked them both an appointment and was able to check in as soon as we parked outside. Once we got inside we didn’t even have to wait a total of 5 minutes before they were called to a room. There was almost zero wait time! They both tested positive for strep, but the doctor and nurses were nothing short of amazing! From their bedside manner to their thoroughness, we couldn’t have asked for better and more friendly staff. 10/10 I would recommend Trussville’s Children’s Urgent Care!
