Arrived at Pismo Urgent Care 3/1/20 0815 with standing room only. Some people reporting an illness at the desk, one elder individual reporting with constant throwing up issues. One office staff sneezing. I asked the office staff if I could go sit in my car in the parking lot and they can call my cellphone when I am can be seen. They said, "No, you have to be within earshot of your name being called in the waiting area." I said, "In light of what is happening with flu and other issues, why not call me. This way it reduces my exposure. I will arrive in less than 20 seconds from my car in the parking lot?" They said, "No, this is the policy here. We will not call your phone. You have to be here to hear your name called." I will not be going to this facility again. A very bad policy with the possibility of getting a contagious disease in the small sitting area.
