I have a severe case of strep throat and was concerned the antibiotics they’d prescribed weren’t working. I contacted to ask about a higher dose of Tylenol and wanted to know if we should switch antibiotics. The nurse, Shawna, immediately treated me like a drug addict contacting the office to obtain pain pills. She snapped at me multiple times, even when I clarified I was not interested in obtaining any type of prescription pain relief. I told her the way she was treating me was awful and presumptuous - she refused to apologize and told me to goto the ER if I needed a fix. I’ve been a patient at that facility for 10+ years and have never been prescribed anything for pain relief! Her attitude was reprehensible and she lacked baseline empathy. No one in the medical field should talk down to patients like that. Shame on her.
