We have used PM pediatrics several times and this has been the first really disappointing experience. The wait time was unacceptable and the doctor gave the appearance of not caring and that you were bothering her with any questions you asked. Despite having previous good experiences this experience alone may make us not returned

Made an appointment online. When we got there we were 2nd to be checked in and went back to the room fairly quickly, but then waited almost an hour to be seen! I was very disappointed. It was our first time trying this urgent care/ after hours care and I don’t think we will be back. The paramedic who took my son’s vitals was great, very friendly, but the nurse who finally came in was kind of short and all business (not as kid friendly).

I made an appointment ahead of time. We waited an hour and a half in a very cold room. I had to sit on the bed with a shivering feverish child to keep her warm. The nurse asked if we would like a drink. But never returned and brought it to us.

We needed to be seen quickly and because of covid our doctor was not available. This was our first time at this location & we were very impressed with the knowledge & bed side manner each staff member had .

Just a great experience, especially being from a different state and having to bring the little one in on our mini vacation. They make you feel like family and the facility is fantastic.

I came in because my child had a fever and a cough. They checked her out and did a covid test. That was all. The covid test wasn’t even a rapid test, so I had to keep my other child home from school as well until the results came in. However, had they done other tests like strep or RSV, they would have discovered she had RSV. But since they only wanted to test for covid, I had to go back to my regular pediatrician to figure out what was wrong with my child. The covid test came back negative. But why is that the only testy out felt necessary to do?

First, why make an appointment if they don’t take appointments? Please be clearer so there are no expectations when I receive an email stating to confirm an appointment that isn’t really an appointment (I know! Confusing). In the age of COVID I guess everything must be COVID. My daughter has an autoimmune disorder that causes severe pain, I can’t get her pain under control with anything I have at home. We just recently moved to the area so with all the great reviews I figured this would be the place, especially since they claim to not let any child be in pain. I was wrong! It must be COVID!! I know it isn’t, I have seen these symptoms since she was 3! 9 years!!! The doctor wouldn’t listen. They did a COVID test and we were on our way.

The provider was rude, she had no bedside manners at all. From the moment she walked in she did not say hello, she only asked my sons name. She looked at his throat and said you will get the results in 48hrs. When I asked if we can get a rapid antigen test, she gave me a short response of “No” and then I asked her if it could be flu, strep or something else her responses were all either “No” or “maybe” without any explanation or further information. Her responses were short and rude. I told her my younger child has medical conditions that put him at high risk for becoming severely so I would like my child to take the rapid antigen test, she responded rudely saying “Then keep them separate”, “the antigen tests are reserved for kids that are severely ill”. Thats how she ended the appointment without even saying a short bye or have a good night, nothing at all. Instead she used the hand sanitizer, threw her hands up and walked out with an attitude. It’s because of doctors like her that damage Wakemeds reputation and thats why Duke and UNC always beat Wakemed in ratings.
