What patients are saying...

1.0

This was a horrible experience. I entered the facility and paid a deductible so that my insurance could be billed. I was not escorted to the back eventhough I was on a walker. I was simply told to go back. I walked towards were I assumed I should go and someone finally met me. My blood pressure was taken and it was elevated. The Doctor (who never introduced herself nor did she right her name on my discharge paper) entered the room and didn't even have me remove my coat. I explained the medical issue that I was dealing with and she completely ignored them. In addition, she refused to prescribe any medication that might help and kept saying that I needed to follow up with my primary care doctor even though I explained several times that I didn't have a primary care doctor and was looking for one. She prescribed steroids which I already had and told be to continue to use a salve that I already had. Obviously if those things were working I wouldn't be at the urgent care. Futhermore, I could not apply the salve to all of the areas because it can cause harm to the body. Secondly she lied and said that she could only prescribe steroids because all pain medication negatively interacts with steroids. That is completely false. In addition, by taking steroids it lowers the immune system. I was already diagnosed with lupus so taking that medication would cause my immune system to be further compromised which is just plain foolish while we are in the middle of a pandemic. The doctor spent less than three minutes in the room performed no exam and did not provide any real medical treatment. She patronized by asking did I want her to write me a prescription for extra strength Tylenol after I told her that I'd been taking that a lot at home. She said nothing about being careful because it can cause harm to organs. She just didn't care. DO NOT GO TO THIS URGENT CARE. They simply want to bill your insurance, take your deductable and nothing more.
