How long does an eye exam take?

According to the University of Utah, an eye exam normally takes between 30 and 60 minutes. Based on the number and types of tests you have, your optometrist can tell you how long your eye exam will take.

How often should you get your eyes checked?

If you have vision or eye concerns, you should schedule an appointment with an optometrist. If you have diabetes, the CDC recommends having an eye checkup every year, and every two years if you are at risk for glaucoma. Between the ages of three and five, children should get at least one eye exam.

I have been to this facility a few times when I have had to take my child in times when her Pediatrician was away. They have taken care of her and even given me a referral so that I may take her to a specialist to further evaluate her. It's not very far from my home at all. I'm glad they are also available after my child gets out of school, since her pediatrican's last appt. is at 3:30, I have time to go to Metro-UrgiCare and feel reassured.

It’s so wonderful how Dr Ibrahim is so knowledgeable & caring. This is rare these days. In the recent past I’ve had doctors who are more concerned with the computer than the patient.
