I was able to choose a Labcorp location and schedule an appointment. Check in was easy, and I only needed to provide my name and DOB. They were able to locate my order in their system. They were already aware that my labs were paid for prior to the appointment. I had my labs done on a Wednesday, and I received my results by Saturday. Great experience.

I came in one day without an appoint and waited two hours as a walk-in before I had to leave without being tested. I made an appointment through Quest Lab Testing for the next day, showed up on time, got tested easily and was on my way in 15-20 minutes. Staff is friendly and helpful.

In order to travel to Canada, I needed to get a (molecular) Covid test. It's a bit tricky because you need to get a negative test result within 72 hours of departure, but you also need the results quickly so that you can log into Canada's system. I searched several test providers but most didn't have availability this past Saturday afternoon. I was able to make an appointment at MD Today Urgent Care for 6:00 PM and it could not have gone smoother or any easier. I appreciated being called prior to the appointment time to clarify which test was most appropriate. They let you self-swab which is always more comfortable. Within 20 minutes of being tested, I was called again with the result - followed by an email. I strongly recommend MD Today Urgent Care. They are located a bit East of I-5 and North of Hwy 56 - just North of San Diego.

Quick and easy COVID testing. We had to get my 3 year old daughter tested in order to attend an event and Kristen was really good with her and explained what she was going to do so it wasn’t scary.

Easy process to schedule a same day tele-med appointment and Covid rapid test. Very streamlined and safe for Covid cases with separate waiting area. Was seen right away at my appointment time, test was quick and easy, results 20 minutes later. Very good experience.

Got in for a Covid test right away since I had been exposed. Had a visit from a PA who was great and the tech who did the test was extremely efficient and explained everything she was doing. 2 thumbs up!

I found getting the test was the easy part. I first drove to the office in Carmel Valley thinking I could walk in & get tested. Then I saw the sign on the to not even come if you were wanting a test and to the posted phone number. I called multiple times and it continually went to voice mail so I peeked in the window and saw a woman at the desk who was not answering the phone. I knocked on the window & held up my phone indicating that I needed to get through. Then I called again and she picked up. I set up an appointment for the next morning but was not told that it was an appointment for a video consult so I was ready to head out the next morning but then saw there were forms to be completed. I did the best I could but found the website a bit difficult to navigate. Did the video consult which was great, quick & to the point & all was good after that. I would like to add that aside the first I went to the office and it kept going to voicemail it never happened again.

I was there for Covid testing other than for quality of the video the doctor called me immediately and we had no trouble proceeding with the reason for the visit

Covid test protocol of staying in car for testing runs smoothly. Staff is nice. Phone connection/signal for virtual appt is not good, but serves the purpose

Despite a test result that I wasn't prepared for, the staff and MD were very comforting, reassuring and helpful. I also work in the medical field, and right now is a very trying time for all of us. They were so kind and very accommodating God Bless all of them!

Such a wonderful experience. Quick, easy and efficient. The staff was so pleasant and we got my son in and out and tested safely.

Dr Alex was very calming, knowledgeable and attentive to my concerns on the video chat. The person who gave me the covid swab was in the parking lot within a minute, and very helpful and friendly. I'm sorry I forgot his name. I was a little nervous. Front desk phone help was awesome as well. She was on top of every question and explained the video chat process really well. And very friendly. Sorry I forget her name too. Thanks to all. You guys made it easy. Great team!! My name was misspelled on the test. You had one "S" when it should have been two. He said he would correct it. Thank you again!

My experience with the provider during the telehealth visit was excellent. He listened to my concerns and had great bedside manner. The actual staff at AFC who I interacted with to get my covid test were rude and very short with me. Their communication was not clear and I ended up waiting longer than it should have taken.

This is the 4th time I have used MDToday- twice for urgent care appointments and twice for Covid tests. Staff were always very professional and knowledgeable. Today’s appointment with Michelle was thorough, caring and professional. Jonathan, who administered the test curbside, was also very professional and gave me clear directions and had a positive attitude. I’ll continue to use this office for care in the future.

This is my first time coming here for a drive up Covid test for myself and my daughter. The process was quick and painless! I would recommend this caregiver to anyone who needs a Covid test!

I came in for a Covid test. The test was quick and it was curbside! The provider was friendly and proficient! The entire process took about 15 minutes from checkin to when I was driving away.

Michelle (Physician Assnt.) and the male nurse who administered a COVID-19 test to my teen daughter were extremely professional, courteous, friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. The entire process was fast, easy and convenient, stream-lined and very well organized - no long waiting lines, etc. (Consisted of completing a short online questionnaire, followed by a brief tele-health video visit with the P.A. or M.D., and then pulling up the the curbside of the clinic to receive the nasal swab test.). Highly recommend this clinic.

Trying to get a COVID test. Unfortunately after my appointment they couldn’t get me I. Until the next day for the test. I will go somewhere else for the test

You are the ONLY travel clearance clinic we would ever use! The NP and the nurse administering the Covid test were the BEST. Both were very pleasant and immediately decreased our anxiety level. Excellent customer service!

- Verified patient on 4/21

I had no appointment. Just walked in. I was seen within 10 minutes and testing started. Vitals, PA meeting and examination to discuss problem. More testing on site including X-rays and EKG. Follow up discussion of testing results with PA. Diagnosis and path forward. Very efficient.

After booking the wrong kind of appointment for a Covid test I had to reschedule for 4 days from now. They told me they would put me on a cancellation list, we all know what that means…not much. Wrong. I received a call back within 30 minutes that they had a cancellation. The staff is on it and all about helping the patients. Thank you so much MD Urgent Care!!!

San Diego Lab Tests

Lab tests take samples of your blood, urine, saliva, and other bodily secretions, which are then analyzed in a lab to help doctors diagnose and treat certain illnesses. Lab tests can be used to diagnose an illness, detect changes in an existing condition, and monitor how your body responds to a therapy, among other things. They can also be used to monitor the progression of a disease or a set of diseases.

If your doctor is unable to make a definitive diagnosis of your disease, or if you are having a variety of symptoms that could indicate a variety of disorders, he or she may request a lab test. To see how you're responding to a drug or to check if you're at risk for certain diseases, lab tests may be performed.

Some lab tests require no preparation at all, while others may require you to fast for eight to twelve hours before the test in order to avoid erroneous results from certain meals and beverages. Your healthcare provider may advise you to cease smoking, exercising, and taking certain medications and nutritional supplements for many hours or days before your blood test.

Before your lab test, ask your doctor for precise instructions to follow to minimize erroneous results and multiple trips to the lab for additional testing. A lab worker may use a needle to draw blood from your arm or prick your finger to collect a small sample of blood during a blood test. During a urine test, your physician will ask you to go to the restroom and urinate in a sterile cup, then set your sample on a shelf where a lab technician can pick it up and process it. The personnel at the lab testing facility will demonstrate how to do each type of test.
