Omg so so good!! I first went to Waikiki to a 5 star yelp review clinic it was called Doctors of Waikiki. They wanted 400.00 to see a Dr.!! I left and als I had to pay the stupid parking on top of that. So I googled and this Kakaako clinic came up. “Island urgent Care.” I called it was Veterans Day and they were OPEN!! Yay!! They took me right away and in no time I was seen by a wonderful Dr. Kauhane! He was kind, efficient, nice bed side manner and actually cares ! It also was a great price, I will be going there from now on!! Front desk Chanelle was cool and the nurse who took me in the back was gracious.

This clinic is impeccable. Dr. Stephenson is patient, kind, and understanding. He takes the time to explain things to me in a way that is easy to understand. His staff is so kind and efficient. I am able to get in and out of the clinic in the time that other clinics would have me in the waiting room. I highly recommend this little gem of a clinic!

I had an excellent experience with Urgent Care Hawaii. The process to set up my appointment on my mobile device using the application "Solv" was very efficient and easy to do. The Urgent Care staff contacted me via text message to notify me that they will be assisting me the process; registering me into the system and connecting me with the physician using the the video call tool, on the "Solv" platform. I was greeted by Dr. DUBUQUE, Christopher who had already gone over my symptoms prior to the call, using the information that I had submitted while setting up my appointment. Dr. DUBUQUE was effective, efficient and very kind during our video call. He was able to meet my necessary medical needs, and made me feel comfortable during our interaction. My overall experience with Urgent Care Hawaii was "AWESOME", I really liked the convenience of being able to get assessed and recieve the medical help that I need without going to the clinic, and by simply being in the comfort of my own home using my mobile device. I just want to thank Dr. DUBUQUE, Christopher and the Urgent Care Hawaii staff, for the professional customer service, and that feeling of aloha when being helped.

My first experience with urgent care was not a good one. One of my kids had knee surgery on Friday, but his pain medicine was ineffective, so I went to urgent care and waited two hours to see the doctor only to find out that urgent care does not prescribe narcotics. I was very angry because I wasted two hours keeping my kid in pain. Subsequent visits were wonderful. It’s convenient to go to urgent care and Kapolei, so I don’t have to drive all the way into town for a sick note for work. I had to go for Covid testing and each time the star was efficient. I had to take one of my kids in for testing for Covid, and although we had to wait because it was crowded, it was a good visit. The wait is par with any other ER or doctors office. It’s difficult to keep a kid in pain, but I don’t blame urgent care for this. I’m sure every medical clinic, doctors office, ER, and urgent care has to deal with drug seekers. I am very thankful for urgent care, and I respect the people who work there there

While on Maui I had what appeared to be an allergic reaction. As an RN of 38 years I knew that I needed immediate care. I was reluctant to go to an urgent care as I knew they would be limited in what they could do to help. Since my reaction was quite severe I did know they could at least stabilize me. From the first moment we arrived the receptionist Vanessa could see I was unwell and brought out an RN to assess me. Ariel came out an immediately brought me back. There I was assessed by Heidi (PA). She started anaphylaxis protocol right away. Ariel (RN) and Chelsea (RN) attended to me right away. Heidi consulted with her medical director about my unusual symptoms and a diagnosis of Scromboid poisoning was made. Basically a weird form of fish poisoning. I cannot say enough about how awesome the staff was. They went above and beyond in caring for me. God’s angels.

I went to the Kahului clinic. I do highly recommend this clinic. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. This is the second visit here in the last 2 years. Definitely go here if you need urgent care but are unable to go to your regular doctor or don’t feel it requires going to the hospital. The only thing I was not satisfied with was the wait time. First it took 1 hr just to see me then another 1 & 1/2 hours after I was taken back to the exam room. I can sympathize with their increasing work load due to Covid but I believe after my tests were done they just forgot about me. I had to literally go look for someone to come back to my exam room after waiting 30 minutes for a test they said took 15 minutes. Sorry I usually don’t do these reviews. I still recommend them highly, just was disappointed with my wait time.

Really grateful to find this urgent Care West Maui while on vacation. My son was very sick. I called a few places before deciding to go to this clinic. The minit urgent care clinic was extremely rude to me when I called. This Dr at Urgent care west Maui was very knowledgeable, caring and friendly. So happy we went here. Having my son get so sick while out of the country(Canada) was very scary. I wasn’t sure what to expect. I would recommend them to anyone, especially if you are travelling from another country. My son started feeling better immediately after the first dose of his prescribed medicine. Thank you Urgent Care West Maui and Dr Ahmad Rana for being so wonderful to us.

Reason for my call was to get retested for covid19 as recommended by my PCP. My PCP could place an order for Pali Momi testing location, however, I selected urgent care for its convenient location of Kapolei. The doctor during my virtual call was hesitant in approving my test and questioned my PCP, but ended up allowing the test. I felt as if there was push back and I was not satisfied as I believe during this pandemic, access to testing should be easy.

Very happy with this urgent care! They were ridiculously kind and friendly to my terrified son and explained everything. They were super patient, friendly, funny and did a fantastic job stitching him and sending him home with everything we needed. Thank you! Honestly, this was probably the best urgent care experience I’ve ever had...from the receptionist to the nurse to the PA they were all absolutely AMAZING! 10/10 stars! If you get injured on vacation then this is where you need to go!!

I chose this clinic because it was 5 minutes from our condo. Came in and everyone was very pleasant from the moment I came in to the moment I left. The overall time I was in there was probably 45 minutes or so and that included the video chat with the provider and the ordered tests. They made sure I was well taken care of during the entire visit. I would definitely recommend this urgent care to anyone in the Waikiki area.

I appreciate very much the kindness of both staff and physician, I saw Dr. Langston and a nurse named Tory, and met a new employee named Falyn. I would highly recommend this place and the people, and I feel grateful knowing they are there. High caliber professionals with caring support staff made this urgent care center a great experience for my first medical visit near my new Maui home .

I am extremely happy with my first video visit. Dr. Jose came on early and was very thorough and took time to listen to all my concerns. She's so friendly and polite, great bedside manners. So grateful for this service since I don't drive and my regular physician steered me to an urgent care for my symptoms. Very convenient and will do again if I need to.

Started at another Urgent care but would have to wait 3 hrs. Went to urgent care west Maui and got right in. Staff was excellent was seen by a physician and treated. They don’t accept insurance so you have to pay and submit for reimbursement. But the charges were very reasonable. They will be our go to facility if we need urgent care in the future.

Im so elated that i was able to get care for my sinus infection. My PCP is never available until after 4pm for telehealth, my nearby Urgent Care did not invest in telehealth technology. Your staff was so friendly, helpful and patient. Dr. Jose helped me to get medicine i needed to immediately start feeling better and contine on with my journey of health and wellness.

Very quick, friendly and knowledgeable service from beginning to end Don’t let the other places fool you and lure you in by saying they have only doctors. This is a way to charge you more. Nurse practitioners are extremely intelligent and have a better bedside manner. 10/10 would recommend this place for urgent care needs.

Very happy to have found this facility while on Maui. The wait was fairly long but I was a walk in and didn’t expect it to be faster. Very friendly and experienced staff. I feel confident I got the best care for my issue. I highly recommend this Urgent Care!

I’ll definitely recommend Urgent Care Hawaii so everyone can experience how effective telemedicine is. Wait time was 10 Minutes, faster than being at the doctor’s office. Dr. D was very thorough, effective, and listened to all my aches, pains, and symptoms. Left with a prescription and treatment plan.

Urgent Care in Hawaii

People typically think about beaches and tourism in Hawaii, but there are great healthcare options, too. For instance, three of the best hospitals in Hawaii include Queen's Medical Center, Kaiser Permanente Moanalua Medical Center, and Straub Clinic and Hospital, all of which are in Honolulu. There are also smaller hospitals and urgent care facilities across the entire state that provide healthcare to residents and tourists alike.

Healthcare in Hawaii

The high tourist population in Hawaii makes health insurance a bit of an issue because many insurance companies do not provide coverage to areas outside a certain range. However, the healthcare facilities in Hawaii never reject care to any person based on their insurance or lack thereof. Plus, the Affordable Care Act that was passed in 2010 will be in full effect in 2014. It will give residents and tourists even more healthcare options in Hawaii. Many of the injuries in Hawaii are related to sports accidents due to all the recreational options in the state.

Urgent Care in Hawaii

Most states provide urgent care facilities where people can get treated for illness and injuries that do not warrant a trip to the emergency room, and Hawaii is no exception. Hawaii has urgent care facilities in all the major cities and on most of the smaller islands. Urgent care facilities are equipped to handle minor lacerations, bone fractures, dislocations, and illness related to respiratory problems. They are one of the best options because they have shorter wait times than the emergency room and the care is less expensive.

Urgent Care FAQs

  • How much will an urgent care visit in Hawaii cost?

The price charged at an urgent care, whether in Hawaii or elsewhere, will be based on the location, and there are no actual standard costs between the clinics. Assuming you are paying with cash, you might come across an urgent clinic that charges you $50 while another situated some mile away charges you $100 for the same services. The standard cost in urgent care where insurance cover is not involved ranges from $100 to $125. This price is generally the standard price of a visit before extra services. There are a couple of additional care services that could make your appointment to an urgent care costly including x-rays and lab tests, medications and injections (such as immunization), casting broken bones, as well as stitches and splints. If you have a viable insurance plan in place, the standard pay will be between $20 – 50 depending on your insurance coverage and whether you are in contact with the provider.

  • Are Hawaii urgent care centers open after hours?

Most primary care doctor offices are open during routine work hours, Monday thru Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Conversely, most of the urgent care centers in Hawaii are available after hours, on weekends, and many holidays. Typical urgent care hours are 8:00 am to 8:00 pm daily, although location-specific hours may vary.

  • Do urgent care centers in Hawaii take appointments?

Historically, urgent care centers were strictly an on-demand, walk-in healthcare service mode. More recently, as consumer behaviors and expectations have evolved, many urgent care clinics have begun offering book ahead visits, allowing consumers to select a same-day or next-day time that works best for their schedule. Use Solv to find a Hawaii urgent care center that offers advanced bookings (or appointments) and book online.

  • What is the best urgent care center in Hawaii?

While it would be easy to provide a list of urgent care centers in and around Hawaii, 'best' is a challenging term to qualify. With the list of locations above, use the filters provided to narrow the results to find the best urgent care for your needs.

  • What is Urgent Care?

Urgent care is available to assist patients that are looking for immediate, convenient medical care. In that manner, they are similar to an emergency room. The difference, however, is that ERs are meant to treat major, life-threatening injuries and illnesses while urgent care centers manage life’s minor bruises and bumps. In simple terms, an urgent care is seen as a walk-in health center that focuses in offering non-emergent health care conditions, including the treatment of the typical illnesses and injuries such as fractures and sprains, cuts and burns, scrapes, stings and bites, flu and cold symptoms, nausea and vomiting, abdominal pain, and much more. Most urgent care facilities offer both diagnostic and preventive care such as well visits, immunizations, STD testing and annual physicals. For regular visits and check-ups on these clinics, you should expect to pay between $20 and $100. The good thing is that most urgent care clinics will accept major PPOs and insurance cover, Medicare, as well as self-pay in the form of credit cards or cash. Urgent care clinics are located in most parts of the country in various regions to offset emergency room visits and provide a gap in healthcare services. They take patients during all hours of operations, which offer a significant convenience to most people who have and continue to undergo the need for sudden and immediate medical attention.
