Check in staff and office were amazing. Very clean and friendly. Issue was the wait time of the actual appointment. I had an appointment for 9 am, did the pre-check in, uploaded all my docs, and got to the office at 8:50 am. Paid the copay and just waited to get to the room. Nurse did the check in (she was very nice), and then i waited and waited for the caregiver, about 25-30 minutes of waiting. And then after talking to the caregiver for less than 5 minutes, she said she had an idea and left the room. Did not hear back again for another 25+ minutes until i walked to the lobby and asked if I was supposed to just wait further. I have a very long work day and waiting incessantly was horribly annoying. Turns out I was forgotten about and I just needed to be given a piece of paper with pharmaceutical instructions. Literally wasted so much time. It felt about 90% of this process was waiting for the caregiver, extraordinarily frustrating. Especially when they don't tell you how long you're going to wait, you just wait and wait and wait. It seriously felt like talking to ChatGPT was easier. I even knew the pharmaceutical drug I needed, its just that it has to go through prescription. I can not wait till this is no longer a part of the health care experience.

Had throat infection and mild fever for two days and decided to check it out here. It was very easy to schedule and then even reschedule the appointment times. The wait times could be better but other than that everything was very good. Would definitely recommend

My 2 year old woke up with a fever and cough. I called ahead and they put me on the walk-in list while I drove over. We were seen within 15 minutes, service was quick and efficient - we were back on the car in under a hour. They were so so friendly, gentle, and patient with my sick toddler. The space was super clean and inviting. I would definitely recommend!

I needed to get in the same day.  The waiting list was approximately 3-4 hours out, so they took my name and sent me home until they had an opening. It wound up being only about 1.5 hours to wait and I was able to do so in the comfort of my home.  Once I arrived, I was in and out in 30 minutes.  Staff was great!

The assistant and/or nurse didn’t seem particularly comfortable working with kids, and the provider came across as overly aggressive and lacking patience with scared, anxious children. My son was resistant to the oral and ear exams, and I felt the provider was too forceful in their approach, focusing on “getting the job done” rather than handling the situation with care. While I understand the need to complete the examination, a bit more patience and understanding would have been greatly appreciated, especially given how ill, tired, and frightened my child already was.

Scheduling was super easy, I arrived a few minutes before the appointment time, but check in seemed to take forever. There were 2 people in front of us and it took over 15 minutes. The appointment itself was fairly quick. When I went to pick up a prescription I had to call the office back because the dose didn’t get sent over to the pharmacy.  Overall I would definitely go back

check in is always nice and quick and immediate which is what we appreciate the most. The nurse that greeted us and got us started was very friendly and welcoming.  The provider named Miguel is not very personable and asked us what’s our goal to be there.. that question threw us off a little. He treated us like a business and it was just here ok here is your prescription have a good day.  I’ve seen him in the past and felt uncomfortable that I didn’t move forward with any suggestions he provided in the past. Appreciate that he gave me and my son prescriptions but he didn’t really explain to me what was going on with me but did with my son. Wished he didn’t treat us like a transaction he tried to complete.  No, I do not recommend this provider.

Newcastle Cholesterol Tests

Cholesterol isn't always a negative thing. It aids in the growth of cells and the production of hormones, among other things. On the other hand, too much cholesterol might be dangerous.

Cholesterol comes from two different places. The liver produces cholesterol, and dietary cholesterol comes from the foods you eat. Cholesterol is found in meat, dairy, and eggs, among other animal products. Foods high in saturated and trans fats may cause your liver to produce more cholesterol than you need, resulting in dangerous cholesterol levels.

High cholesterol increases the risk of heart attack and stroke, which are two of the leading causes of mortality in the United States. In the United States, approximately 38% of people have high total cholesterol levels. Because high cholesterol has no symptoms, it's critical to have your levels checked to ensure they're within normal ranges. Cholesterol levels in children and teenagers should also be checked.

According to the CDC, those over the age of 20 who have a low risk of cardiovascular disease should get their cholesterol checked every five years. Those with risk factors for cardiovascular disease should have their cholesterol checked more frequently. Other risk factors for heart disease

Fortunately, simple lifestyle changes can help you lower your cholesterol. Reduce your intake of saturated fats and eliminate trans fats from your diet as much as feasible. Trans fats are widely found in store-bought cookies and baked goods, and are labeled as "partially hydrogenated vegetable oil" on food labels. Limit your intake of processed foods, especially those heavy in sugar, and consume lots of fresh fruits and vegetables.

Increase your physical activity by at least three times per week. Any type of physical activity is useful. Instead of taking the elevator during your lunch break, go for a walk. Aim for at least 10,000 steps per day.

Don't smoke, and drink alcohol only in moderation. Not only will these changes help you lower your cholesterol, but they will also improve your cardiovascular health.
