I came here two weeks ago for strep. I tested negative with the swab and the culture also apparently came back negative (I never received a call and followed up myself). Two weeks later the sore throat returned and I have a very swollen tonsil on one side. I was prescribed a second round of antibiotics for strep, which is fine but I’m confused why I wasn’t swabbed again because as far as they know I never tested positive, and could be subjecting myself to another round of antibiotics without knowing for sure it’s strep. I’m confused on how I’m now doing two full treatments for strep with no positive diagnosis. I hope it’s not mono or something else.

I was pleasantly surprised to find that I could get an appointment for the same day, with multiple options to choose from. The staff was exceptional! The nurse practitioner I saw was incredibly knowledgeable and provided one of the best bedside manners I’ve ever encountered at an urgent care facility.
