I saw FNP Paige Thomas and she was wonderful. Great questions and had actually read my file from my last visit. Explained what she was prescribing and why and even verified that I had a follow up with my PCP or needed to be rechecked. Made me feel like she cared and wanted to make sure the upper respiratory infection got cleared up. I would definitely recommend seeing her again

I live in Albuquerque and my experience here was awesome in comparison with the service I get at home at an urgent care. From short wait time to the attention I got from the nurses, tech and the doctor, I’m extremely grateful. Thank you!!

I felt so welcomed by the front desk, followed by a wonderful nurse. So impressed with your incredible PA, Ali Lewandowski. Professional, efficient & truly caring.   You are lucky to have such skilled providers.  If I ever had to come back again, I would choose Nextcare again, because of this experience.

I appreciate that I was able to walk in without an appointment.   However, I don’t feel Juan took any real time to hear me out.  He talks rushed, behaved rushed, and have his explanation rushed.  You don’t get to help a patient if you don’t actually listen to the patient.  I was told I have an abnormal ekg reading along with some concerning symptoms I’ve had and then told I have nothing to worry about. To me it seems like he was eager to go sit back at his desk.  With a clinic as empty as this one, I don’t see what the rush was about.

I went in with what I assumed was ear and sinus infections. The staff was very kind and friendly. Without scheduling an appointment, my wait time was maybe 5-10 minutes after completion of paperwork and I was seen shortly after going to the exam room. The PA/NP was kind, friendly and thorough and had me on my way quickly with prescriptions sent to the pharmacy immediately.

I was hesitant in the beginning because I assumed I’d be rushed and not heard. I was quite surprised, the virtual visit was my first and I must admit that the physician’s and bedside manner was even better than any office visit I’ve had in years. And the phone representative went above and beyond to help me correct my payment error. C  The staff at the facility was just as professional caring and friendly.

Needed to be seen urgently for a possible UTI. Could not see my PCP for a month so we did a Urgent Care search on GOOGLE and found NextCare right down the road from our house. Getting an appointment online was easy and had an appointment set for 20 minutes...I was impressed. We jumped in the care and went straight over. Checking in and the staff were great. The wait time before taking back for my screening was minimal and the care given by PAC Jennifer Guitierrez was exceptional...she made me feel very at ease with my situation and I greatly appreciated that. NextCare on McDowell will be our first choice for future urgent care needs. Thank you all!!

I went to have my ears syringed as I’ve just had my hearing aids cleaned, and my audiologist recommended the procedure. Brian has syringed my ears before and does an excellent job.

I had frostbite on my finger from 30 years ago every so often it opens up and bleeds. I put a bandage on it and the bandages kept slipping off so I put tape around it and I put it too tight bandage every two days but it wasn’t getting any better, so I came to urgent care and they took care of it. Great job.

Arizona Diagnostic Tests

Diagnostic tests are used to diagnose, assess, and treat a wide range of medical problems. These tests can also be used to track a disease's course and see if therapies are working as they should. If your symptoms are similar to those of other disorders, your doctor may request or execute one or more diagnostic tests to confirm or rule out certain health conditions.

More than 110 diagnostic tests and procedures are currently available for testing in a range of healthcare settings. Each test is individual and has its own set of requirements. Some tests, for example, require you to fast for several hours or stop taking specific drugs temporarily, while others require no preparation at all. For example, you must fast for eight hours before doing a blood glucose test to detect diabetes.

Some diagnostic tests, such as those that entail drawing blood or taking tissue and fluid samples with swabs, can be completed in seconds or minutes. Other tests, such as thyroid nuclear medicine tests, may take several hours or days to complete.

Invasive and non-invasive diagnostic tests are available. Invasive testing frequently entails injections, surgery, or other techniques of puncturing the skin or body. Invasive diagnostic tests include biopsies, endoscopies, and cryotherapy. Non-invasive techniques do not require entering or puncturing the body and are associated with a lower risk of complications and side effects. Non-invasive diagnostic testing procedures include eye exams, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and chest X-rays.

More information on what to expect can be obtained from your doctor or the diagnostic testing provider. This includes details on how to prepare for the test, how the test works, how long it lasts, and what to expect on the day of the test.
