This clinic has shorter than average waiting periods

Short Wait Time

Was suffering from severe low back pain.  Was able to schedule an appointment online right away.  Arrived to an empty waiting room and after filling out the paperwork was put right into an exam room.  Waited less than 10 minutes total.  Treatment was explained fully.  All in all a very quick and effective appointment and I’m feeling considerably better less than 24 hours later.

I was able to book an appointment an hour before and they saw me right away when I came in. Staff was super nice and helpful and gave me meds to help me feel better even before getting my culture test back. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone?

I was really sick and worried I had Covid, so I came in for a test. They gave me a rapid and PCR for that as well as the flu and strep, but also did a brief checkup and caught that I had an ear infection. I really appreciated that they took the time to check all the possibilities to make sure they were prescribing me what I needed.

Walk-in to Taylor street location. Only 2 or 3 other people there. Immediate greeting from staff and quick explanation of the process. Any questions were answered readily. Directions for rapid and lab test easy to understand and easy to finish in just 5 minutes. Test results for rapid came quickly. And lab results the next day. There was trash from test packaging dropped on the floor. Overall, very quick and easy! Thank you.

This was my first time getting tested at at Free Covid location this entire pandemic and the service at this location was exceptional. The staff was amazing, they system went down and the staff instantly went to manual check-in and everything was smooth sailing. Results in 15 minutes as promised. However because I work in the area and I notice how busy they are daily I highly recommend that this location close for atleast 30-45 minute a day for a break because they are busy from open to close to breathe, sanitize and regroup.

this was the 3rd place I went to. Cermak Immediate Care tried to charge me $100 because I had no insurance. My friend referred me to this facility because he had quick results, great service, and mentioned how clean it was. Those ladies are efficient angels. the waiting area was cleaned after each person left. I was in and out in 10 mins including registration process as a walk in. They deserve a raise because other technicians are not as friendly, polite, courteous, clean, efficient, informative, or amazing as the ladies there at this facility. I thank God for these ladies there. they are on the front line of the epidemic and handle it compassionately and gracefully. Thank you for making this rapid testing process free and available for walk ins and those who have no health insurance.

Super fast, was in and out in 5 minutes. They took me ahead of my appointment time and it wasn’t crowded feeling at all. Quick paperwork to fill out and then got tested. Had the option of rapid test or PCR, went with PCR because it’s more accurate. The people who worked there were pleasant and professional. I should receive my results within 24-48 hours, so as long as they come on time this has been a perfect experience.

Came in around 8:30 on Sunday after i called and found out i can do a test right away. The lady ask me which test i want and than i fill some paperwork. I went and sat in a chair and she explained me what she is going to do. I did both tests the rapid test and the one in the nose that the results are taking longer. The rapid test came out quickly (negative) the lady told me that i should re-test also just to make sure that i wasn't exposed to soon .

I’m from Kansas City and happened to be in Chicago visiting a relative. During my stay, I had received the news that several of my co-workers had tested positive for COVID. I found Family Urgent Care through Solv. I received 2 COVID tests through them during my quarantine and my wait time was next to nothing in both cases. The staff was friendly and in both instances I received phone calls as to my results. The doctor was very informative and was able to answer all of my questions. I highly recommend them!

This is the only place anyone should go for COVID testing! Mohammid is Great! I had a BIG problem because their network could not send me results. This would be a disaster because I could lose my job. Mohammid solved my problem by giving me a paper report. I am very grateful to Mohammid. Go to freecovidcare!

I went for a covid test for travel. The young man was very friendly and patient with me with it being my first time swabbing. He helped put me at ease by talking about his home town to which i traveling to. He took the time to explain the next steps and made sure I understood everything. The place was clean and there was no wait.

I was nervous. The gentleman was very helpful, kind and professional. He made this experience not so bad. I am recommending this place to anyone I know who needs to be tested. We just walked in, no appointment and waited about five mins. The whole process was less than twenty mins. As others arrived, the gentleman was just as professional and helpful to them. I give an A+.

We went to the free Covid-19 testing site at the Math and Science academic . Everything was great except the placement of the trailer. It was jammed in the back of the parking lot with one way in and the same way out. Very tight and hard to get in and out. So nice the testing was done in the car. The lady was super nice and vert helpful. Thanks for a great experience.

Small facility but it moved people through fairly quickly enough so it didn't get packed inside. Staff was friendly and courteous. Initial instructions were clear. slight confusion on the process once you did the initial swab test. results came back fairly quickly. I spent about 45 min to complete the whole thing once I arrived there.

I arrive on time he was finishing up another lady so I sat for about 5mins. Place was clean, everything was explained before testing was done. No complaints no problems..Javair (I believe that was his name) assured me it would be no cost. And yes I recommend this site for testing the On line appointment process was easy.

The wait time was awesome due to no one but staff being there. She was friendly AF without being annoying, just doing what needs to be done. As far as bedside manner, for this type of procedure, I really didn't require much so there isn't much to say there. It smelled like backed up toilet. I'm familiar with these old chicago buildings so every corner of this venue could have been mopped and wiped down with pure chlorine bleach, it would still smell like backed up toilet. Still, a little disconcerting when you're entering a health care facility even if it is just for covid testing.

I was worried because I coudn’t find a place to get the results of my PCR faster than 72 hs, for free test o less than $200. I had to travel and was feellling very anxious about all the protocol! Diego helped me with that for $50 and I had the information of my PCR in 24 hs.

This was my first time to this location, their was a young women Very patient and polite. She explained which sob test to take and where to store the testing items and then explained I would receive my results via email. It was pretty easy and at first I was nervous it would be difficult to set up a appointment but it wasn’t at all, Thank you very much!!! Great staff!!!

A good experience, but poor advance info. I wasn't sure till I arrived which test and how it would be administered. Turned out to be both a PCR test (easy swab to the back of the throat) AND a rapid results antigen test (nostril swab), both self-administered. Got printed results of the antigen test before leaving. Testing site is a drive-up trailer in a big empty lot. The worker was casual about his mask-wearing, but assured me he had been vaccinated.

Very easy experience! Had to get a covid test for my daughter to travel to Puerto Rico. I found the clinic on the Puerto Rico travel .gov website. Many other places in Evanston that I checked were booked until too close to our flight and I was worried about the turn around time. Also some of the other places that could see us on a Sunday (hospital based clinics) were asking us to get a doctors referral. This was much easier. Yes I would recommend this place!! Thx

Chicago Lab Tests

Lab tests take samples of your blood, urine, saliva, and other bodily secretions, which are then analyzed in a lab to help doctors diagnose and treat certain illnesses. Lab tests can be used to diagnose an illness, detect changes in an existing condition, and monitor how your body responds to a therapy, among other things. They can also be used to monitor the progression of a disease or a set of diseases.

If your doctor is unable to make a definitive diagnosis of your disease, or if you are having a variety of symptoms that could indicate a variety of disorders, he or she may request a lab test. Some lab tests require no preparation at all, while others may require you to fast for eight to twelve hours before the test in order to avoid erroneous results from certain meals and beverages. Your healthcare provider may advise you to cease smoking, exercising, and taking certain medications and nutritional supplements for many hours or days before your blood test.

Before your lab test, ask your doctor for precise instructions to follow to minimize erroneous results and multiple trips to the lab for additional testing. A lab worker may use a needle to draw blood from your arm or prick your finger to collect a small sample of blood during a blood test. During a urine test, your physician will ask you to go to the restroom and urinate in a sterile cup, then set your sample on a shelf where a lab technician can pick it up and process it. The personnel at the lab testing facility will demonstrate how to do each type of test.
