Andrea McFadden was very thorough and detailed I got excellent care from her today! Her bedside manner was wonderful! 5 star!! Last night I showed up at 5:03… they said they closed at 5:00. The gentleman at the front desk was animate about not taking me. I was so Sick last night and he said no! Don’t have an urgent care if you are not go to be compassionate! I have followed this urgent care around for 20 years!!! Despicable behaviour!!! Andrea made up for it! But I was still annoyed!

I try to get a COVID test today, I have downloaded the app and ask me to check in once I arrived. My appointment is 12:20pm and I checked in at 12:00pm, and app told me no one in front of me, but no one calls me in as well, I thought they will text me when is my turn. So I wait in my car. Until the time, still no text messages or nothing, so I walked in. And the rep seems like don’t even know I have an appointment today, and keep asking me all different questions, like are you Anna, I am like no, I am xx. And she is asking r you get vaccines today, I said no, I am here for testing. And she keep asking all other questions on the form which I already filled out on the web. I just wondering the app not really communicating to the clinic, so the rep keep asking me all the same questions again. The second thing is once I sit in the little office, the nurse instead measuring my height and weight, she asking me what is my height and weight to fill out the form. So I provided the answer. She tried to measure my blood pressure, and the number not coming out, and at the end she gave up, and didn’t have my blood pressure. The last thing is when I sit in the little office to wait for my result since I order the rapid test. I saw the sink is dirty with all the water spot on the surface. The one time use ear measurements not full and no one filling up. And the doctor walked in at the end to do a summarize, and her white coat is actually very dirty with black and yellow color around the pockets areas. She probably wear it for a while. But the test results turn out with in 15min, and I am negative. This is what I want to know.

Other than the miscommunication between the front desk and physician re: covid testing, and where/when results are posted it was very clean and efficient. I was told by front desk that rapid testing opens at 9am but after MA took my saliva test and then, when I was seen by the physician, I was then told she COULD do the Swab test (after the saliva test had been done) which was all good (except the extra fee for the THAT test) I did the test, got results and went on my way after my hour and 45 min visit. That’s not bad considering within hours there will be a full waiting room. I was told by physician to check a website for saliva test results, but then at check out the front desk said they’d call me. I asked for portal info which she gave me while assuring me I’d be phoned by physician. The physician on the other hand strongly assured me my results would be posted. I don’t mind either way, as long as I can GET the results. Both physician and front desk MA were very friendly even at 4:45 AM when I checked in, until 6:30 am when I was finished. I walked out with Swab test results, and a prescription so I’m very satisfied. I know they’re only 2 people and are in a very trying field, I salute them.

My daughter had croup but wasn’t improving so I made an appt at 11:30. I arrived at 11:15 and eventually was told I needed to have her COVID tested. I was back to the waiting room by 12. I thought I’d be in a room quickly since my appt was 30 min prior but it was obvious I wasn’t going to be seen soon. I told them I would take an appt at 2. I arrived by 1:45 and was in a room by 2:05. I didn’t the see the dr until 2:45. I was frustrated because I had appts and the provider explained they run an urgent care. She was condescending. I’ve been coming there since it opened. I have 4 kids one seen on Wednesday. I understand what an urgent care is but I also understand appts and customer service. I eft the first time because it was taking far longer with an appt and I needed to have my son at an event but the right thing would’ve been to fast track me the second time and for the provider to not treat me the way she did. So disappointed. I love the staff but they should’ve tried to get me in faster and when they didn’t just say sorry not have some provider explain to me how an urgent care works. Does she know what an appt is?

My first experience was terrible. I followed instructions and waited in my car. Checked in with staff upon my arrival at 3:15pm. I was forgotten waited over an hour. Then I got a call asking if I got my covid test and they expressed that the person who does testing bad just left and if not could I return between 5:30-8:40pm. I really needed my PCR test for a show. So I decided to go eat and return after 5:30pm but called first to make sure someone would take me. A young lady by the name April answered the phone I explained my experience and I was returning for my test but had to double check. She sprung into action and my experience was amazing she walked me through every step and hadbme drive to her location and text them soon as I arrived she did mine and my daughters PCR covid test and had a little to no wait time. She truly is an example of patient care. She made me forget I was mad and had lost so much time during the day that I even missed a important meeting. But April took care of us and we got our tests some so all was forgiven. Grateful, Selene Falcon

I found getting the test was the easy part. I first drove to the office in Carmel Valley thinking I could walk in & get tested. Then I saw the sign on the to not even come if you were wanting a test and to the posted phone number. I called multiple times and it continually went to voice mail so I peeked in the window and saw a woman at the desk who was not answering the phone. I knocked on the window & held up my phone indicating that I needed to get through. Then I called again and she picked up. I set up an appointment for the next morning but was not told that it was an appointment for a video consult so I was ready to head out the next morning but then saw there were forms to be completed. I did the best I could but found the website a bit difficult to navigate. Did the video consult which was great, quick & to the point & all was good after that. I would like to add that aside the first I went to the office and it kept going to voicemail it never happened again.

I needed to get Covid tested because I came in contact with someone that tested positive. I feel that this medical place isn’t organized. My appointment was at 1pm, I arrived at 12:30 and it took a long time with the process. They explained what needed to get done but didn’t start the process right away. They gave me the forms 40 minutes after my arrival. They took my medical cards one hour after my arrival, they took my payment, one hour and 10 minutes after my arrival. Teleported with a doctor one hour and 20 minutes after my arrival, and finally got the test done, one hour and 30 minutes after my arrival. I feel it was a lot of waiting around. The girls were friendly but all the walking in and out and having me wait in my car was torturous to see. I don’t understand why forms couldn’t be ready and administered, collect all the necessary documentation and payment all at once and be ready with the next and next step. Please take these steps into consideration to help the public and their location run smoothly. Thank you.

I came in at 2:30pm on Friday and no one was in the waiting room so I got seen as soon as I filled out the iPad, 4 paperwork, and gave my ID and insurance card to the receptionist. The girl who is helping me (nurse) or medical assistant is so sweet. I'm so happy I came here in long beach instead of going back to Venice beach. I listened to my heart. This place is only down the st from my house. My medical covers everything. It's clean too. Very clean. Smells good. I'm being asked to take a pee test so I'm drinking water so I can test and then I can see what's going on then see the doctor. It's so much better to go to urgent care then your general physician. Anyways! 5 stars. Omg the doctor was so kind and nice! All women are here. Love it. She was sweet. She spoke to me with kindness like she knew me and I spoke to her kind. I'm going to make this my place to go.

AJ was the sweetest and most professional , I have been absolutely terrified that I caught Covid after going back to work this weekend , I’ve been so careful throughout the entire pandemic , was one of the first to get double vaxxed and it’s been so upsetting. She made me feel so calm about the situation because I was clearly scared and upset, I just truly appreciate her as a human being for showing me true compassion. I’m still waiting for my results but either way im going to kick Covids ass if I end up positive. My only issue is that the company does not specify that it’s $49 for a test because everywhere else I’ve been has been free, so I was caught off guard and I’m a little annoyed about that because it said no where when signing up that I had to pay so thats my only gripe - amazing care, company shouldn’t be extorting the public for money when the government should really be funding these things for Americans.

My ONLY complaint- which CAN be managed is that there should be, at the facility and at the end of filling out the online appointment (especially where it involves Covid testing) - that you can be waiting up to an hour (as I did) for a Covid PCR test - and you would see a nurse first, then a dr, then finally a nurse so as to understand the wait (we as patients/clients could then better manage our own appointments without feeling anxious or upset at staff) - and if it’s a Rapid Covid test - the time is quicker (maybe 30 minutes) . So since I brought my teen with me and naively thought I would be in and out in 15 min tops, he killed the car battery while listening to the radio- and I had to wait another 30 min for AAA service - etc. (I know- not the fault of the clinic- actually the staff was nice enough to let my kid use the bathroom while waiting for me.

I was not feeling well. I had a bad cough and Congestion. Went to Temecula 24 Hour Urgent Care. I was seen right away. Completed all the paper on my phone and was taken back to have my vitals. Once that was done I was escorted to the examination room which was cleaned and sanitized. The medical assistant ask lots of question regarding my system and all of the medications I was taking. The x ray technician escorted me to the x ray room took xrays of my lungs. In the examination room the doctor listen to my lungs asked me about my system. She had me take a breathing treatment and a covid test and also test for flu. Covid Test and Flu test came back negative and it looks like I have a virus. The doctor bedside manner was outstanding and the staff were welcoming and very attentive. I highly recommend this urgent care

In order to travel to Canada, I needed to get a (molecular) Covid test. It's a bit tricky because you need to get a negative test result within 72 hours of departure, but you also need the results quickly so that you can log into Canada's system. I searched several test providers but most didn't have availability this past Saturday afternoon. I was able to make an appointment at MD Today Urgent Care for 6:00 PM and it could not have gone smoother or any easier. I appreciated being called prior to the appointment time to clarify which test was most appropriate. They let you self-swab which is always more comfortable. Within 20 minutes of being tested, I was called again with the result - followed by an email. I strongly recommend MD Today Urgent Care. They are located a bit East of I-5 and North of Hwy 56 - just North of San Diego.

The professionalism and quality of the care met to my standard. Although, we only went for a rapid covid test, the doctor still asked about my daughters health and was concerned when I told him that she’s had a lingery cough for more than a month. We have been to Enloe Prompt care and they never seem to concerned like they were here. I really appreciated this. He gave me advice and prescribed cough medicine to help her at night. This is something I have been wanting for a long time and he heard my concerns. I look forward to bringing my medical concerns/business here for any future. We are a family of 4 and have two private insurances. I like how everyone was friendly to me and my children. The wait is awful, but this is what we experience anywhere with medical, so it seems to be the new “normal”.

I came in because I was having cold/flu/virus symptoms and requested to be tested for COVID, strep, flu, etc. They told me I could only be tested for COVID and if I was negative, then I would need to come back and pay for an entire second appointment. I tested negative for COVID. After paying to come back a second time, the receptionist was very short with me and seemed to not care. However once being sat in a room, the nurse and doctor were extremely kind and friendly. I ended up testing positive for strep throat instead of COVID, and the doctor was very helpful with prescriptions etc. In hindsight I’m not sure if the receptionist was following COVID protocol, or just trying to rip me off and get me to leave. (Once again staff behind the doors was kind and helpful)

When I phoned Inland Urgent Care to make an appointment for a Covid test I received easily understandable information by a very polite and friendly young woman by the name of Darrian. She patiently answered my questions. When I arrived the next day I remained in the car as instructed. Links were sent to me and I was able to pay for the test online. A few minutes later I was instructed to come into the office. I was met by Darrian just inside the doorway of the office where she administered the Covid test. She was really nice. I found the test didn’t hurt as others have said. I received my tests results report by email by the time I got home and was happy to see I tested negative. I would definitely recommend Inland Urgent Care.

We did a virtual visit for a covid test following a positive at home test. We were required to log in 15 minutes prior to the appointment. The provider came on the line almost immediately. Was able to prescribe medications right then and send them to the pharmacy. We were asked if we needed employer verification, which we did. We were told to drive to the office and wait in the parking lot until someone came out to perform the test. We arrived, and the test was completed minutes later. Everything was fast and convenient. The staff member who performed the test answered all our questions.. We have recently required urgent care at another well known facility in Bakersfield and had to wait hours. We will definitely be back to Priority for any future needs.

Everyone was very nice. To the lady doing the swabs outside. Thank you for being so nice and understanding and going the extra mile to make sure I didn’t need any additional tests. To the lady that took my call, thanks for being so nice and helping me get connected to the doctor. I know this is a busy time for all of us. Your office is going beyond the limits of caring for your patients and it shows. Thank you Just two suggestions: need a light at the table so the nurse can see the documents better at night and perhaps listing a phone number on the door so we (the sick) can call when we arrive and not enter the waiting room. Just trying to be safe for others. Thank you all

I understand the signage at the airport blew down last week. Recommend you put some signage on the tents so patients can ID your facility from a distance. Maui now requests you upload PCR test 24 hours prior. You can not get tested more 72 hours before. Your staff is quoting a return of tests within 48 hours. Do you see how all this comes together. Creates stress for the traveler. Would suggest you state you will have test results back in 24 to 36 hours. If you are running these tests on the Abbott ID Now or other larger units we all know test results can be achieved very quickly. Less stress...better for everyone. Thx for listening. Staff was courteous and professional!

My partner and I came to the San Bruno location after having a covid scare from being in the Castro over the weekend. Sophia was the most AMAZING nurse and overall human being. She just moved here from Texas and was literally the KINDEST most professional and not to mention hilarious person, she made this very stressful time SO much better. She made us feel relaxed, well taken care of and like she genuinely care about our well being. We get tested at CSM and everyone there is so rude and grumpy so it was beyond refreshing coming to Solv and being prioritized and treated so well. Thank you for being amazing Sophia! The world needs more people like you in it.

I’ve visited the office twice in the last few weeks. My son had bronchitis and received a breathing treatment on-site that really helped. I visited to get a COVID rapid test after a family gathering. There were a lot of people there and it was clearly overwhelming for the staff, but the staff managed to stay professional, courteous, and helpful. The lines were long, but there were tons of people at the office awaiting tests. The tech who administered my test was amazing. She helped me navigate the chaos, and took a personal interest in helping me while she was still handling everyone’s needs. I wish I had caught her name, but she was fantastic…a tremendous representative of the office.

Lab Testing in California

Lab tests gather samples of your blood, urine, saliva, and other biological secretions, which are then evaluated in a lab to assist doctors in diagnosing and treating specific health disorders. Lab tests can be used for a variety of purposes, including diagnosing an illness, detecting changes in an existing condition, and assessing how your body responds to a therapy. They can also be used to track the progression of an illness or a group of disorders.

If your healthcare provider is unable to diagnose your condition decisively or if you are experiencing a variety of symptoms that could indicate any number of disorders, he or she may prescribe a lab test. Lab tests may be conducted to see how you're responding to a drug or to see if you're at risk for certain diseases.

Some lab tests require no preparation at all, while others may require you to fast for eight to twelve hours prior to the test in order to avoid particular foods and beverages giving erroneous findings. For several hours or days before your lab test, your healthcare professional may urge you to stop smoking, exercising, and taking certain medications and nutritional supplements.

To avoid erroneous findings and several trips to the lab for additional testing, ask your doctor for specific recommendations to follow before your lab test.To avoid erroneous findings and several trips to the lab for additional testing, ask your doctor for specific recommendations to follow before your lab test.

During a blood test, the lab technician may use a needle to draw blood from your arm or prick your finger to collect a small sample of blood. During a urine test, your provider will instruct you to go to the restroom and urinate in a sterile cup, then place your sample on a shelf where it can be picked up and processed by a lab worker. The lab testing facility's personnel will show you how to execute each sort of test.

Following the receipt of your test results, your doctor may call you to discuss them or to schedule an appointment. Your doctor will explain your results to you and, if required, discuss treatment choices with you.

Lab Tests FAQs

  • Where should I get a lab test in California?

Physicians typically prescribe lab tests and can recommend you to one or more trustworthy lab test centers in your area. Hospitals, urgent care facilities, and walk-in clinics that specialize in lab testing can perform tests. Request a list of California lab test providers from your healthcare provider, or utilize Solv to look into what's available in your region.

  • How much do lab tests cost in California?

The cost of any lab test is determined by a number of factors, including the type of test, your location, whether you have insurance, and the lab test provider's fees. Many health insurance companies will pay some or all of the costs of lab tests. Those without insurance, on the other hand, will most likely face increased costs. Confirm the cost of your lab test based on your health insurance benefits by contacting lab test providers directly. The cost of any lab test is determined by a number of factors, including the type of test, your location, whether you have insurance, and the lab test provider's fees. • Does insurance cover lab testing?

Many health insurance plans will pay for lab tests that your doctor deems medically essential based on your condition. Contacting your insurance provider directly or asking the lab test provider to check your insurance benefits and verify the pricing is the best approach to find out if your health plan covers lab testing.

  • How long does it take to get lab test results in California?

Depending on the type of test performed, lab staff productivity, and your doctor's availability, lab test results may be available in minutes, hours, days, or weeks. Some California lab test providers allow you to see your findings as soon as they become available online, while others require you to wait for a response from your doctor. Your doctor or the lab provider can offer you a more precise estimate of when you will receive your lab test results.

  • What is a routine lab test?

Your red and white blood cell count may be checked as part of a standard lab test to see if you have anemia, a blood infection, or blood cancer. It may also assess the health of your organs, such as your heart, kidneys, and liver, as well as test fat levels in your blood to assess your risk of heart disease. Your healthcare professional will be able to tell you exactly what a normal California lab test comprises.

  • What STDs can be detected by a blood test?

STDs such as syphilis, HIV, hepatitis C, and herpes can all be identified by a blood test. Your doctor may request that you have your blood drawn and sent to a lab, or that you undergo STD screening at a lab test provider. Depending on the California lab test provider you work with, STD test results can arrive in minutes, days, or weeks.

  • Do I need to see a doctor before getting a lab test?

Some lab test providers demand a doctor's reference before doing specific tests, while others do not. The advantage of seeing a doctor before receiving a lab test is that you can determine whether or not a test is necessary based on your symptoms and a physical examination. A doctor can also assist in determining which tests are required.

  • Should I try at-home lab testing?

At-home lab testing has several advantages, including privacy, convenience, and accuracy. However, your health insurance plan may not cover some at-home lab testing services. Additional lab testing may be requested by some healthcare practitioners to confirm their diagnosis of certain health issues. Inquire with your doctor about whether at-home lab testing is recommended for you based on your specific health circumstances.
